At Trump’s inauguration, reports of a pay-to-pray


President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team is reportedly planning an interfaith prayer service the day before his inauguration, where participants can worship alongside the businessman and his wife, Melania.

But those who want to join need to weigh the price of prayer: Tickets to the service will be awarded only to those who donate at least $100,000 to Trump’s inaugural ceremonies, or who raise $200,000.

According to the report, if a donor gives $1 million or raises $2 million, they’ll earn six tickets to the suite of inauguration events.

It's interesting to note that Trumputin recognizes that his followers can't do math : $100k gets one ticket to watch him pretend to pray.....but $1 million only gets six tickets?

 

But they can read. $1M gets you six tickets to a suite of events, not just the prayer service

Still a variation of a pay to play transaction. If nothing else Donald Trump will go down in history as the best President that money could buy although when it comes to purchasers no person or organization will come close to Elon Musk who has essentially purchased his position as the unofficial co-President.

 

Trump's Derangement is probably permanent. It's very unlikely that it will ever end and I cannot see him seeking therapy or using meds after he leaves office. The other variation of Trump Derangement Syndrome, mindless worship of the greatest con artist in history could end even before he leaves office. There is the real possibility that members of the Cult of the Donald who worship will him eventually come to the realization that they have been conned.

Probably the latter, because I could speculate on what he's praying for; more adulterous sex with young and involuntary participants? Tasty hamberders?

Not so sure about that. Maga world will want to glorify him and build monuments to him. GOP politicians will echo his rhetoric in attempts to capitalize on it for their own benefit.
