I was just going off the numbers that two other season ticket holders posted. I still don’t think that really translates to the secondary market. The less popular games will still be cheap or free. The highly sought after games will still be outrageously expensive. The people selling them would sell them for $1000 if they could regardless of if they paid $10 or $100 each for them.
True. But I don't know of any other business where the customers (fans) voluntarily donate thousands, hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars to the "business" so it will be more successful.
I renewed for my 40th year; 4 tix. I noticed the increase in tix price. Two lower bowl and 2 in TDT plus 4 F/G tix ($120 each; remember when they were $10…..). Add in booster fees; just a few $ shy of 8k.
But overall, it's damn sure more than any 10 or 20% more expensive to live than it was a few years ago
I just looked at my invoice..2 tickets upper SEZ ( love my seats..my view is great ) the booster fees are the same, the actual ticket price for 1 season ticket package 6 games $ 505 ( $480 last year) ..so 2 season tickets plus booster fees plus $75 tax and fees ( was $15) ..my invoice total is $1385...so my season tickets package went up a total of $110 for 2 season tickets... an increase of $55 each season ticket package
And a decrease of one game. I sincerely doubt they will lower the prices per ticket the next time we end up with a 7 game home schedule.
I am okay with it..watching the Gators at the Swamp with my fellow Gators is one of my little pleasures in life.. I doubt they will raise the price with going back to 7 games. Maybe that the price was raised with that in mind. They do let you pay it in installments with no interest.
Tennessee added a NIL fee to ticket prices. You share buying players if you want to see your team live.
That sounds like a pretty good deal and some fairly inexpensive entertainment to me. It cost me more than that to travel for one game. You are very lucky to live close enough to attend so easily
I know that being at The Swamp is only second to being in Heaven, but you can save a lot of money by paying for ESPN Plus. You can get a subscription to ESPN Plus for $10.99 per month. Another option is to sign up for an annual subscription for $109.99, which saves about 17% off compared to the monthly route.
What good does that do? We only had one football game offered on espn+, and it was also on sec+ which is free if you have sec network. You only really need ESPN+ for non-revenue sports. It doesn’t even offer the majority of our football and basketball games. You still have to have a service plan with an espn package to get almost all of those games. You didn’t need an espn+ sub to watch a single football game this year. One required the espn+ app, but was still free if you logged in with your service provider credentials.
To me it is not the same...in 2020..I rolled my tickets over to 2021..and watched on TV that year..that was the only year since 1985 that I didn't attend a game..I missed the pageantry and excitement of actually being there..watching Gator Walk, going to Emerson, tailgates , Rietz Union and the actual game...Doing We are the Boys and I won't back down, feeling that Swamp energy..I love it all..watching on TV you miss a lot..but I do live close enough so I want to make sure I get my Gator "fix" in
We get seat backs for one reason... to carve out our paid-for space. No arguments with the fat visitor next door. If he's sitting on my blue seat, it's a border incursion.
I should have done a better job of researching my info. I understand your comments and I agree with them. Another service available is FUBO. I scraped the following info from their web page. It is a bit pricey for my preferences. Stream the Florida games live and watch the NCAAF all season long. Plans start at $44.99/mo after trial* $44.99 for the first month, then $79.99 per month. Additional taxes, fees and regional restrictions may apply.
If any of you have this type of money hiding in your couch, you are welcome to imitate a potato on my couch anytime!
