9 threads on the first page should be the limit

Yes, it is. Outside of a couple very pro-Trumpers, most of the good, Republicans do not post much or have left. I'm not sure if it is a far left echo chamber but it is a left leaning echo chamber and anyone that disagrees with the CW here gets labeled a Trump loving MAGA type, even if that is not what they are.

Here is an example: On the Kushner $2B thread, you had posters claiming that the fund had not made a profit, that his fees were exorbitant, and that it must be a payoff to Kushner/Trump because no investors had been paid a profit. The reality is that no one knows if the fund has made a profit, the fees are inline with what the industry charges, and that the majority of funds like this do not pay out profits to their investors after three years. That took about two pages worth of posts to point out.

 

I havent left because I find some of these threads entertaining and dont take any of this seriously.

 

There were no liberal mods spamming the board with anti-Trump threads after Biden won so no, the “both sides are the same” argument doesn’t work here.

 

You realize this absolutely cuts both ways and that was my point? My entire adult life I've basically been a Ron Paul Republican. That gets me labeled as left on this site. Why?

Perfect example. The thread where DeSantis sent National Guard to Texas. Saying that's a bad idea isn't a left position. It's a small govt position. But it's painted as some kind of "left" position by Trump supporters, which is asinine.

Or in every thread about trans athletes in sports and the usual folks say "this is what the left wants" and most every "left" poster on this site says the opposite.

I get your point that everyone basically gets lumped into one side of the other. Because that's my point.

Absolutely believe it. Its not a hard set rule though. Around here its mostly the usual suspects. With that said, there are plenty here on the left that I have no problem with. The funny part is, Im very liberal policy wise. Im truly only slightly fiscally conservative. Most social issues outside of the super fringe ones, Im left leaning. Drugs, immigration, abortion, Gay marriage etc. Yet to some people Im a card carrying MAGA schill because I don't subscribe to the woke/identity politics agenda and dont proclaim Trump a Nazi in every other post.

I thought that even though Jan 6 wasn't started by him, I personally think he didn't do enough to stop it. On top of that I've said he shouldnt be allowed to be presidents for Jan 6 and a multitude of other reasons. Yet its like people think I exist on this forum to dupe them. Like I have time to simply act like I don't like Trump but I secretly do but Im also apparently doing a terrible job at acting like IM a double agent since I say enough to be labelled a Trump supporter in the first place.

You know what happens when I say negative things about Trump or put my opinions out there about Drugs, Immigration, abortion, gay marriage etc? Conservatives don't come around proclaiming im some leftist and trip over themselves to hit the dislike or disagree button or take the time to label me and offer their displeasure with a condescending word salad.

 

What policies are championed around here by those who are simply "anti Trump" that you would say are on the right or conservative?

 

Basically being on the opposite side of every authoritarian policy that has come to pass in the last 8 or so years from the right. Easy low hanging example is MAGA politicians passing things like banning drag shows. When it comes to social issues the left has somehow become the party of freedom, while the right has been pushing legislation to limit that.

I realize you probably won't agree with me on that, which is fine. It's why you won't agree with me that this board isn't a left echo chamber. Most posters here are socially liberal, fiscally conservative. That's no longer the right on either front.

 

Had nothing to do with left/right. In those days there were far more righties on here. They left en masse to another sight as they chafed at having to follow rules regarding what they posted and remaining civil in addressing others.

 

Whether it’s supposed to the case or not, at least as a premium member, you can block Bill if you choose. Maybe if a few do it will calm this place down. I hardly post here now but even the number and tenor of the threads on the new posts list is scary.

 

I honestly don't believe a word of that. Come with a real critique - as a thread - and I GUARANTEE it will be disliked. Personally, I've never seen you be critical of Trump or MAGA.

 

I have learned that he can block you and that blocks his threads. I am now blocked and see none of them. I have to search to find the nissan thread but my front page is much more informative.

 

Its all good, the left lost a whole election not understanding what people are saying and misrepresenting them and their true intentions.

You can feel free to look back at my history of posting and find the threads I agree with left leaning things and see that I don't get negative ratings from them. Who knows, maybe they just like me because they are nicer people who get nicer responses? Not everyone on the left around here gets the same energy. Im like rubber, I give back what I get and Im not afraid to say it. Im under no obligation though to prove myself to you if you can't see it and thats all good. I won't fault you for it but if you are willing to accuse me of lying in some way, you should probably have more evidence than "I dont think I've seen you be critical of Trump". Maybe because it doesn't look like "Trump is a Nazi!". Which I already adressed in the response you quoted.

Being critical of someone can easily sound like "_____ shouldn't have done this because 'reason' " without all the hysterical BS. Just a thought.
