Why young Americans swing towards Trump

That other governments and central banks were stupid as well does ease the pain for our citizens or exonerate our politicians.

 

The issues are/were global. A POTUS cannot snap their fingers and restore supply chains that span nations. As high as it was, inflation in the US wasn’t nearly as bad as most countries. Further, we didn’t suffer a recession, as predicted, and have shown impressive recovery.

I’m not sure what else is expected?

 

It runs way deeper than just Trump. Young men in this country are listening to morons like Andrew Taint and Joe Rogan and basing their decisions off of the dumb stuff these people say, and Taint, having the influence he does, actively hates women and appeals to the incel crowd, who is never going to vote for a female president. I literally heard someone say they didn’t vote for Harris because she didn’t go on Rogan’s podcast. This country is doomed with how insanely idiotic most of these young people are.

The inflation that was inflicted upon us was started with supply chain issues coupled with a totally unnecessary panic in certain markets(still can’t figure out the toilet paper panic). Then the spending driven inflation ensued in 2021, followed up with more stupidity in vaccine mandates and other nonsense.

This brings us to a question people here and in many other countries should be asking ourselves; in what world is it a good idea to pump the equivalent of a year’s GDP in liquidity(spending and rate cuts) into a supply constrained US economy?

The pain inflicted upon middle class people over the last three years should not be dismissed because we were not the only idiots doing it.
