Just a guess but she didn't miss a paycheck for living in an ALF for the past 6 months?

Yeah, it’s silly they are shaming her for the “$4,000 a month assisted living facility”. Whosever wrote that has no idea how much assisted living costs. That’s actually pretty modest.

But aside from that, pretty wild she just went “missing”.

That is Unacceptable. That's is so ridiculous. What about California senator Nancy Pulosi?

I’m guessing it’s more about her staffers not wanting to miss their paychecks. So they effectively pulled a Costsanza move keeping her office opened even though she was gone to this facility.

I’m not a fan of pelosi and am more than willing to bash on her but this thread is about the congresswoman from Texas and the fact that she has been missing/ not working for 6 months and her staff covered it up. Im not in the least upset about her assisted living facility .. but the fact that she is clearly unable to do the job and no o e has brought it up.
It’s Joe Biden on a very minor scale.

Pelosi is neither a Senator nor are there signs she is senile.

I assume you are talking about Feinstein, who was visibly senile for at least a year before dying in office a year ago.

I don’t care about affiliation. We need to stop being governed by people who have no stake in the future. She won’t be the last caught doing this.

If you’re over 70, it’s time to retire.

anyone from California. What's that old black lady that said people should protest republicans. I can't remember her name. Heck, I can't remember my name from time to time so maybe I should go to the ALF myself. I am completely serious.

I assume she meant Feinstein, not Pelosi.

Feinstein most definitely needed assisted living, but her family/staffers kept her in office. It’s easy to condemn the family but we don’t know what Feinstein’s wishes were, it’s not unreasonable to think she communicated her desire to stay. So in that case if she showed up it was an “it is what it is” situation until the next election (there was no mechanism to remove her).

I think when a person is actually in assisted living and has disappeared for 6 months that’s next level - almost like fraud against taxpayers. Have to at least…show up, almost like a “proof of life” deal. Although in Feinstein’s case she would show up visibly senile so naturally some were calling it “elder abuse”, that wasn’t a great situation either.

Yeah, this is unacceptable, just like what happened with the "functional" Dianne Feinestein... I wonder how many secrets her Chinese driver got from her senile butt.

There a retirement community in Hillsborough County, Sun City Florida. Periodically, a story comes out that a spouse died of natural causes and the surviving spouse stored the body in a chest freezer in order to keep the retirement and/or social security checks coming.

My issues with Pelosi stem from her stubborn unwillingness to give younger party members a chance in leadership.

    Feinstein was egregious.

I’ll stand by my earlier statement: retire at or after 70. Enjoy your golden years.

Why retire at 70 when you can grift for another 10-15 years?

all these fossil's still on Congress should point out how badly we need term limits
House and Senate should match the President. maximum two 4 year terms ( and yes I am aware that it is these fossil's who would have top vote for it, but it really needs to happen)

Ridiculous that half the posts are “yea, but…”. She and her staff should be charged with government fraud. Taking paychecks to not work is theft.
