    NRC is usually 3-2 partisan in favor of the current president. Biden should have nominated someone early summer. Republicans probably voted no so that Trump could appoint someone else. But Trump'll get his 2-3 appointments. Personally, I don't care which party is in charge. Let's build more nuke plants! And it's good that a Gator -- one of my students! -- is on the panel that gets to decide how many and how fast.

    Given today's vastly better technology, there is no reason nuclear reactors shouldn't replace fossil fuels. We know why the aren't. The fossil fuel monopoly should experience the same enmity as the health care industry.

    which nexgen plant do you prefer, the package plant from westinghouse SMR or the salt plant that Gates is building

    MAJOR gaslight alert. The left HATES anything that has the word "nuclear" attached, for purely ideological reasons. Fossil fuels have nothing to do with it.
