I don’t know what to make of our roster. Yes we have 3 McD AA but something isn’t right. And the recruiting class has an international flavor but still not getting the top prep prospects out of Florida. That Miami loss was a bit of a surprise. Just imo…
The recruiting class is a bit concerning. We didn't just go from focused on HS recruiting to signing all international players for a year without some whiff most likely. Some of them could be good, hard to really tell. The concern is a lot of times those international players don't pan out or get homesick etc. That's a very strange about face on recruiting strategy though.
I wasnt surprised at the loss, UM is heavy on experience and brought in some really good transfers. We played what without Reynolds again and lost 3 players during the game due to injury of some sort. My surprise was Kelly Rae not recruiting enough to have a longer bench when she was hot last year. We lost on 3 girls from Florida that we thought we could get, I wont get into some of the stuff I have heard of why some girls looked the other way. The young ladies from Canada and Italy are easily identified as high level talents..not worried about them, my worry is more on the guards we have signed. Yes I am very concerned we could not so far get any talent from within the US yet. Personally I dont care much where they come from, but it shows me that our brand is not kicking right now.
Not sure there are enough cupcake games in the SEC to even get a WNIT bid. No chance at the NCAA. Have to think we will be looking for a new leader towards the end of March.
I like how KRF recruits good players, just not sure she can put us over the top with coaching now. I have seen a lot of this team in person now and she doesnt get all she can from them. UNF we should have beaten by 40 at the very least.
