Big Des could have gone the wrong way but he hung in there and kept competing. He really does seem like a good kid and you could tell the players were really excited for him to run the ball. If I were him, I'd have his Heisman pose picture blown up and framed.
I don't know about that. I do think had Des kept his weight in the 350-370 range in his 4 years, it is possible we'd be talking about a high NFL draft pick for him based on what he could do at 450.
I know he usually plays defense but I can’t imagine him getting so confused he’d run the wrong way. Badumpbump
He could have had a future. 350. If he loses 100 pounds, he could probably get a tryout. High draft choice? Gotta show a lot for a defensive tackle to be a high draft choice. He has not. Time is up.
He still has a way to the NFL. Well, at least a crack to take that path. To get there, he will need to shed a lot of pounds and keep it off. If he keeps working out, one day he may get an invitation for a tryout. We can only hope.
God bless big Dez. Honestly, I wish him the best of health in his life and hope he can manage his weight.
I like how 69 1) looks slim next to Big Des and 2) is reaching out to cushion the fall if Des does decide to slam his guy.
We don't beat LSU and Ole Miss without him and Cam Jackson. LSU rb were well below averages, and Ole Miss didn't even try convential rushing and had Pegues diverted outside the guards to rush short yardage.
