(VB) Ongoing Volleyball Thread

I never said anything about Once a Gator always a Gator. All I said was that I like both those young ladies. We all say things we later regret. I have no idea what went on in regards to Beason's leaving. There are two or more sides to every story. I just like her and Bre Kelley regardless of what they may have said. They, too, are entitled to their opinions. They are both very talented volleyball players who have become accepted leaders on their respective, highly successful teams. I like them both and nothing you or anyone else says is going to change my opinion.

 

I try to treat them the same. If they leave without making a show of it or shitting all over the gators on the way out, I just wish them nothing. They’re just dead to me for the most part. Gator bait and good bye. I never subscribed to the “once a gator” club. If you quit on us, you quit on your gator status.

If they show their ass, I’ll likely have a few more not so nice things to say.

 

I do not care who you like. I let Come On Man slide, but for good measure you mentioned me in a post of disagreement to another poster. It is reasonable to think you haven't resigned your leadership post on your We Hate That Know-It-All Committee.

No really surprising to me. I know she came in highly touted, but she's been on campus 2 years and hasn't played. And we're pretty deep at L/DS position. Wish her the best though.

Florida picks up former Texas Longhorn OH Jordyn Byrd 6'4. Jordyn is from Florida, so Florida was always a front runner to get her. Competition for OH should be good

 

Knowing her high school coach from his club days and his high school days as a coach in Gainesville, he would not have used an OH that didn't pass. Even though she logged no play this year, behind behind skinner and wennas is tough. I think it's a good sign that she probably has the potential to be a 6 rotation OH given that's how her high school coach has played 99% of the time.

 

Can anyone comment on what type of post deserves to be deleted, who decides that and who removes it? I have an alert stating a post of mine was deleted. I have no explanation and no idea what post it was. I do know that it did not contain profanity, which i have seen in other posts, and it did not have any private information on anyone nor would it have been considered sensitive topic. How can I find out what this was removed for?

 

Amazing how competitive Louisville is without Debeer. We don't have AC and can't beat SC or Georgia and they lose a player like Debeer and dang near pulled it off. I for one did not think they had a prayer if she was out.

 

It was political in nature and we don't invoke or use politics on the sports boards.

Edit: We also don't publicly criticize or question moderation. Send the forum moderator a PM and ask, or for any of the sports boards anyone can send me one and ask. Finally, all the Rules are posted and stuck to the front page of every forum.

 

So Penn State won the NC

 

It didn’t hurt that Louisville had a defacto home court advantage with 21,000 screaming fans.

 

I thought at the beginning of the tournament that Pitt or Nebraska were the odds on favorites to win. I am pleased that Penn Sate was able to pull winning the NC off. And that neither of the “traitors” won a NC.

Jordyn Byrd was a two-time Gatorade Florida Volleyball Player of the Year (she won it in 2021-22 and 2022-23).

 

She played Beach Volleyball as a freshman, maybe put her in the HC doghouse. Bottom line is she has 3 years to give UF while in need of a fresh start. It's Christmas come early as UF likely recruited her out of HS. UTex's loss is UF's gain.

The UTex HC comes across as a ruthless SOB.
