Refs did that early to us, that is exactly what I was saying to the person next to me..people will look at the fouls are about even, know they are not..they saddled our best player basically with 2 fouls that were horrible calls. They were throwing fouls on UNCs guard off the bench..all fouls are not equal. now that Kyle has been allowed to play the 2nd half we were just as good...except our shooting is still atracious...not a good look for the rest of the year
Glad the ladies are still playing hard inspite of the score..they haven't given up...don't like the outcome, but still proud of them ..

Final 57-77 unc Again not the out come we wanted, however the ladies continued to play hard. Too bad Kyle got in foul trouble early and was on the bench a lot of the game..
3 biggest thoughts about the game, wont beat a dead horse with the fouls on Kyle..that really cut the legs from underneath us... We cant shoot a lick..we lost the 3 pt line by 21 pts..... think about that. Matharu was supposed to be our main 3 pt shooter this year..so yeah it has hurt us a bunch. last Mcgill was bullied and pushed and shoved and got her off her game..another miss another guard moment...that is why KRF is trying to get a lot of guards in for next year. We need help we did fight till the end, just didnt matter too much.
Going to be a long year, and probably near the bottom of the SEC again. Just can't beat good programs.
Started following the gators in 1996-97 during the Carol Ross era: Delisha Milton-Jones, Muriel Page and a freshman guard Tiffany Travis. All three went to the WNBA and I think the final four that year. after Ross left the program bottomed out big time and never recovered. I come back every now and then to see if we can compete in the SEC and just play good fundamental basketball. Love the dedication that people on this board have for our Lady gators, and they do play hard And never gave up. To blame the referees, for this performance is definitely looking through orange and blue glasses. What I saw Was where lack of talent meets poor coaching… Sorry that’s what I saw.
I'm basically at that point with the program as well... and started watching under Ross. I question the coaching. There is some talent, but I just don't think the roster is built with any plan.
Pretty much nailed it. But, that '97 team didn't make the FF. They lost to ODU in the Elite Eight 53-51.
