This is what I learned from last year- if he practiced with Oregon, he's a transfer. If he hasn't, he's still a recruit. For the all important rankings. If he is still considered a recruit, where will this put UF in the rankings? Asking for a friend UF is #11 now, and if I remember correctly, they were a clear #11 with a gap between #10 to #11 and #11 to #12. I don’t remember it being too difficult getting to #7, but it would take a couple things to get higher than that.
From another site, the kid had a significant personal loss and reportedly wanted to stay close to extended family. I wouldn't look too hard into why he changed heart. Sounds like he wanted to go to UF the whole time.
Under the wild west transfer rules that we now have, it would look pretty petty on Oregon's part to deny his release and make him go the transfer route. Either way he won't be a Duck and will be playing in G'ville next season.
I still think we need a established big outside guy that will go up and get the ball. Starting him as a true freshman though is not a terrible idea as that would get him much more ready for 2026.
Any chance we could get Wilson to talk to Addison, another Oregon commit from Tampa??? He's a Top 100 OT out of Carrolton Day.
The "game changer" is Zachariah Branch, but his bother Zion is part of that deal... Good news, we need safeties and his brother Zion is a safety. But Zachariah is just what we need on punts and kick returns... We need this game changer, player. End or tangent. Go Gators!
Let's not forget about Kahleil Jackson. If he can make it back, at 6'3 he could be that outside force
I had ran across some info on this in the weeee hours of the night last night/ this morning . There's a benefit to oregons being a couple hours behind us. I was gonna make a thread but it had been made completely public yet so I kept it as "Rumor" status. I visited the Oregon message boards because they had heard the chatter about Wilson's camp advising the staff that Wilson wanted out. Hell he had already signed the paperwork early this week but of coursen95% of them boys were in denial. Their reasoning?......they said it was because our boards weren't talking about it so it couldn't be true. Lol. I knew when I seen their own beat writer say it it was done. Word is Dallas regretted signing with Oregon the day after signing day. he hasn't been back to Oregon since his official, his only visit, and the thought of being so far away from his family was killing him. Now I really wonder what the hell they said to him on the phone to prevent him from flipping on ESD. Had to been something crazy good.......
Don't forget VB3 was once rated as a 5 star WR as well. I think his shine wore off to the recruiting sites because he committed to us but he was highly though of as well.
