Shutting down the government until 1/20 will cease all payments for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. It’ll cripple VA care for veterans. It’ll do significant damage to our military readiness. It’ll break SNAP and other programs to help the most vulnerable. This is madness. I remember the last long shutdown and the $30 BILLION it cost the economy. For the love of God, stop governing by chaos. These are real consequences on real people, not just randos over the internet. I’ve got a war chest to cover two missed paychecks. Most people I know do not.

Oh its all selective. When I was calling him "genocide Joe" and weak/incompetent dealing with Israel, not canceling student debt more decisively or stupid for caving to Trump's racist immigration policy, people were mad because that's the kind of incompetence and poor leadership they like.

Trump is very thin-skinned. He reacts like a teenager whenever anyone makes him feel wrong. You seen him with Putin? Dude’s shoulders are rolled forward. Leaned forward. It’s a total submissive pose. Trump is a bully. Like any bully, he’s aggressive because he’s not a secure person. He’s been this way long before he somehow gathered a cult of personality around him.
My wife became so traumatized over the toilet paper shortage and although we never came close to running out we now always have at least a six week supply of TP on hand.

Trump is what an insecure man things is a “man.” Strong men don’t hide behind their mooks and lob grenades. Strong men have confidence, not obnoxiousness and ego. Strong men do not sexually abuse women. Strong men respect their spouses. They aren’t serial adulterous. Strong men take responsibility. They don’t deflect any semblance of accountability. It’s extremely sad watching the legion of insecure men follow this dude around like he’s a rounder, sadder Atlas. It makes me worry so much for the future.
