Johni Broome injury: Player of the year candidate to have MRI on shoulder after leaving Auburn victory early
"His right shoulder came out and came right back," Pearl told reporters after the game, according to 247Sports. "He's had some experience with it. Did it a year ago. We'll look at it again tomorrow. Hopefully he's OK." As someone that has had multiple dislocations of the same shoulder - this is often something that can't be completely "fixed" without surgery. However, depending upon the severity of the separation and what cartilage / ligament damage occured to the AC joint, he could well return and play soon. He will be even more likely to see a recurrence, though. This in my experience only, obvs. It was GA State. They didn't need him - so I'm sure they immediately said his night was done and started looking into it. Feb 8th is a long ways away...
This is going to be a chronic problem for him until he gets surgery. Probably a labrum tear and it will dislocate more readily after each occurrence.
I have known a few guys like this, and a couple of women..no matter what even with surgery it is a tough injury to overcome
