UNC has pretty much played and lost to all top ranked teams. They are way better than their ranking.

 

Agreed. In the second half when they went basically to four guards, I wondered "is that what it feels like when we start pounding chaos on people?"

 

That was the perfect game for these guys. Get out to a big lead, get punched in the mouth, forget to play defense, then recover in time to get the win. Learned a great lesson and still got the win. That offensive board and put back by Richard in the last minute or so was the play of the game. Them Gator Boyz are hot!

 

I swear those announcers were both UNC alumni

 

I was driving during the game so couldn't post but I suspect you might have had a comment or two about the officiating also.

 

I was stunned she called out the moving screen

 

Ref's allowed UNC to amp up the defensive pressure in he second half, the moving screens were rediculous. Thing was when I looked at the box score after the game, UNC actually had more fouls called..........so go figure? All in all not something that's all that uncommon when playing away from home during SEC play. Good game to have to experience that type of adversity and then find way to a "W" in the end.

 

oh yes indeed at 28-12 the refs turned on the big foul adjustment machine, like clockwork

 

Actually, Debbie Antonelli graduated from NC State. She’s an amazing woman with a special needs child. I think she over compensated for any bias against UNC tonight, sort of how Jesse Palmer does with UF’s rivals in football. It was not one of her better broadcasts

UNC also got away with an obvious push-off on a made 3-pointer. The shooter lowered his shoulder into the defender, then used his forearm to push the defender back a yard, before taking the shot.

 

given the disparity in scoring until the last few minutes, thought there had to be something wrong with one of the rims.

 

They have played some good teams but the SEC is starting to own the top ten. So, with a grain of salt I believe they will get beat more than they are used to this year.

My daughter graduated from NCState, good school for degrees that get jobs, not a liberal art school like heels. The big white guy for UNC fouled one of our guys in the last two minutes of the game. Actually hit the shooter three times before the shot left his hand, the tv crew then showed a female fan making expressions like are the refs crazy. Nothing from the two announcers. Obviously, the girl in the stands has never played Basketball ssshh.

 

I just saw the Gators do what they do which is go on incredible runs and put teams away. Showed Carolina in the first half they could do it, then let Carolina back in the game, then went on a double digit run and put the game away. Team has too many weapons. They've shown what they are. A scary good team with all the moving parts, plus replacement parts.

 

It's a UNC play that Michael Jordan perfected.
