Some good information in this video about the two Russian oil tankers that went down in the Sea of Azov, the first offensive operations undertaken by the North Koreans near Kursk, and a well-coordinated Ukrainian deep strike on a Russian train carrying fuel. I did not know that Putin had set a deadline of 20 December for his forces to take back the Ukrainian-occupied portions of Kursk Oblast. I hope he's feeling generous when it comes to extensions.

Well, not really. The actual explanation has always been the same: Ukraine has things that Russia wants, and the strong do what they can while the weak suffer what they must.

The BS pretexts (Ukraine is not a real country, NATO is using Ukraine as a launching point for the invasion of Russia, Nazis, etc.) might rotate around here and there depending on who is listening. But once you have resorted to armed force as Russia has the only thing that matters is whether you can win, not what your BS pretext is.

True, but like I said it doesn't really matter what their "rationale" is at this point. The only thing that matters once steel has crossed steel is whether they win ... or more to the point whether we let them win.

UK intelligence shows devastated soviet tank depots in Siberia

Heavy losses of armored vehicles at the front have forced Moscow to remove old Soviet tanks from storage. Satellite images show emptied warehouses in Siberia, the UK Ministry of Defense reports.

According to the statement, losses of Russian military equipment in Ukraine continue to rise. Since February 2022, Russia has lost over 3,600 main battle tanks and nearly 8,000 armored vehicles.

This has led to a reliance on outdated and poorly maintained Soviet equipment from strategic storage warehouses. As the UK intelligence emphasized, armored vehicles are being removed from storage, modernized where possible, and sent to the front lines.

"Imagery has confirmed a large reduction of stored armored vehicles at tank storage bases in Arsenyev, Buy, and Ulan-Ude since 2022," the UK Ministry of Defense stated.

Couple of months later, Ukraine has a functional laser to be deployed with a takedown range of 1.2 miles and growing.

Russia is experiencing an unusually high rate of winter crop failures resulting in the smallest amount of healthy crops before winter in 23 years. Potato prices have already risen by 78%, cabbage, beetroots and butter between 27-31%.

I agree high for Kursk but the million may be accurate.

 

How are ventures like this possible if Russia is genociding Ukraine like Israel is genociding Gaza ?

 

Apparently, the pro-Russian faction has decided to reassign large numbers of Russian casualties and destroyed equipment to Ukraine. How generous of them. Is it possible that Ukraine EVER had 20,000 tanks and armored vehicles? The west has only given them a few hundred tanks, and Russia has only abandoned 500 or so tanks for Ukraine to salvage and re-use. I know we have given Ukraine a few thousand armored vehicles, but the key word there is few. Are they counting cars with plywood strapped to them as armored vehicles? As far as the human toll, they are off by a factor of 50-100 on Kursk (Russia has mostly gotten their ass kicked in Kursk, and Ukraine only invaded Kursk with 20-25,000 troops), and Ukraine doesn't intentionally use human meat waves like Russia does. I would also doubt their 300k figure on regular army casualties. I doubt that Ukraine could continue fighting if they lost 300k of their regular army.

I'm calling B.S. on this one.

Some people are not smart enough to understand the differences between the War in Ukraine and the Israel - Gaza conflict. Regardless of whether either qualifies as a genocide, the terrain in these conflicts is totally different. To put it terms that even the simple-minded can understand, Gaza is very small compared to Ukraine, which is very large. Gaza is basically a conflict in a city, not a conflict over thousands of square miles. There are large areas of Ukraine that have either never been under attack, or are rarely attacked. They could easily build a factory in these areas if they wanted to. The idea of building a factory there shows a lot of confidence in the idea that Russia is losing the war badly, and will be leaving Ukraine in the near future, but that is Ukraine's call to make.

 

I simply stated facts as I encountered them. At one time or another during the Ukraine War, some Russians were starving, some were frostbitten, some were killing and eating zoo animals, and some were only trained on digging ditches and not issued a rifle. Yes, at one time early in the war, I repeated a vague report and concluded that casualties were fatalities. I was man enough to admit my mistake (several times actually, because some weak-minded person cannot help but bring it up over and over again).

As far how many Russians were killed in Ukraine, the generally accepted number of Russian casualties is currently around 700,000. Assuming a 4:1 ratio of wounded to killed, that means about 140,000 Russians have been killed in Ukraine and 560,000 wounded. That's about ten times as many casualties as Russia had in Afghanistan. Deal with it. You like to pretend that Russia is fighting in Ukraine with a hundred thousand troops or less, but everyone knows that is not the case. Sell your B.S. somewhere else.
