He was soaking up some snaps that Boardingham had taken and did ok. I have hope for him yet. Hansen has gotten better and better as a blocker. I still think we are missing a TE who is a weapon receiving that slows down linebackers' decisionmaking.
I like Livingston as a moveable piece. He played OT his senior year and then showed off some athleticism as a star forward on the basketball team. I think he was all state. Just depends on how he develops this spring and summer.
Not trying to be a pain... but he did play exclusively at tight end in high school. 6-5 260. Watched his film Jr/Sr years. The recruiting services had him as a high 4 star OT?? He then went on and lost 30 lbs for basketball season. 6-5 230.
He was visiting 3 other schools as well. Michigan, USC, and another that I can't seem to remember. Hopefully, he enjoyed the vibe while in G-ville.
So the rumors about the CBN buyout money being redirected to kill it in the portal. Just a myth? Or do we need to pack our patience?
Well, we went from no. 51 to 11 in high school recruiting that changed some of the equation in how much the portal was needed, as did the retention of some key upperclassmen. The portal combat has only begun.
Surprised this hasn't been made more of an issue actually. Portal window during playoffs/bowl season is a problem. It hurts college football teams, playoffs, bowl games and players who are somewhat forced to jump or else limit their options.
They really need to go back to making players sit a season after transferring. It’s the only thing that can stop what’s happening. Now - how in hell can these guys keep jumping ship when they’re already bound by a NIL agreement? Or, does NIL come with no commitment required from the player?
