hahahaha - your hate astounds me

my wife and I planned our retirement thinking SS would probably not be around. Since I paid into SS and get the max I put it in a prepaid college fund as will my wife when she decides to retire, for our 5 granddaughters( the only criteria I attached to it in writing as it is controlled by a trust, was the funds could NOT be used for any of them to attend half assed u)

Trump will not have mass deportations. Not sure where to start why he won’t - negative impacts to the economy, logistics and cost of doing it, state legality roadblocks, humanitarian impact, protests & civil unrest, violence & injuries, international - where we’ll send them.
I anticipate Trump will strengthen the border (although fewer are getting in now) and deport many who commit crimes at some determining level. ie violent felons. And maybe a few states are more aggressive - Tx. But there won’t be mass deportations where newly hired LEO with guns are rounding up 10s of thousands believed to be here illegally.

This. Trump lied, and conned voters again. As if it was not perfectly obvious.

They won't care though, they'll come up with various excuses for his lies. It's not like we haven't seen this charade before.

I don't hate them, do not even know them but they broke the law and they need to be sent back to whence they came

Your intense commitment to (selective enforcement of) the law is amazing and commendable, sir!

I dont hate old people, do not even know any of you but I do know you are sucking the money from the rest of us. You didnt pay enough taxes over your life and left me with $30T of debt while you suckle the tit of the government on SS. Slurp away.

If your retirement is in the stock market, your one really bad crash away from needing that Social Security. If you’re deporting America’s cheap farm labor, you’re reaaaaaally pushing for said crash.

I prefer to dwell on the positive as far as my retirement is concerned, and am not worried

and I still want all illegals gone

Anyone who has committed a crime on US soil will be gone first, and that's not a small number. There won't be any free gov't handouts moving forward, and the new administration has said they would go after companies employing illegals. I believe this will send many illegals to self-deport. I do agree that states like FL will quietly do their best to keep the illegals, or construction will come to a halt, which I am good with. I hate seeing the rapid growth of our state.

This, above, is evidence of two things:

    • “The FU I got mine” mentality that seems prevalent among those retired or about to retire.
    • Delusions that major economic damage would still affect them.

You will absolutely feel the cost of food if/when we eliminate cheap labor.

you have no idea what I paid in taxes and obviously you did not read my post about my retirement- your envy of my success does amuse me - I won't apologize for being successful or about being able to take my SS and put it in a Trust fund for my 5 Granddaughters college fund as we dlo n ot need it to live the life we want. I won't apologize for my wife and I working our asses off to be debt free or for not breaking any laws along the way, we are proud of how well we worked for a common goal and our 5 kids and how we taught them right from wrong and raised them to have a strong Faith in Jesus Christ. Everything does not always work out the way you hoped and planned and my oldest daughter passed 8 years ago this Friday at the age of 40. We have no regrets at how we lived our life and certainly never envied what others had. Sling your mud and your hate, won't change a thing. Oh and by the way Donald John Trump will still be sworn in as the 47th President on Jan 20.

How does that work? A lot of people would see real conflict between those two comments. Can you explain how you reconcile them?
    Thanks

My dad set up an education trust fund for his grandchildren, when the youngest grandchild turned 30 what was left in the trust was split between the 8 grandchildren. It's an awesome thing to do not only for your grandkids but for your kids too. I never had to pay a penny for any of my sons education.

Yep, bottom line, we didn’t pay our way. Started under Reagan and it’s only getting worse. (Probably worthy of its own thread.)

Just wondering where in " how we taught them right from wrong and raised them to have a strong Faith in Jesus Christ." this Poster explained that serial adultery , cheating tax exempt charities, committing tax fraud and sexual assualt were fine for the 47th Presidential felon. Hilarious the hypocrisy that exists.
