Travis Hunter is the best player in college football. Could he win the Heisman?

    Ashton Jeanty got stiffed, imho.
    He rushed for:
    2,497yds (4th highest in history)
    29 TD’s
    7.3yds per carry

“While Jeanty's numbers are staggering, a deeper dive reveals the true nature of his dominance. Not only did Jeanty have at least 100 yards rushing in every game this year, he had 100-plus yards on the ground in a single half 17 times this season. He's also the only player since 2000 to post 13 straight games with at least 125 yards rushing.”

Completely carried his team all season. He had 209yds in the conference championship game. They won their conference and got a first round bye in the CFP. Their only loss was by 3pts at #1 Oregon.

For all the ballyhoo about Hunter, he only caught 14tds and only had 4 INT’s. Not exactly Heisman like numbers.

He also had 92 catches and was the best DB in college.
Could not go wrong with either player but he was great on both sides of the ball.

The way some of you love to tell on yourselves is amusing.

I really hope Jeanty goes bonkers in the playoffs so they might think about moving the voting.

Hunter is great, but Jeanty deserved it more because he took his team to playoffs.

I wonder what a player like Baugh's numbers would look like if he got 30 carries a game. Not to steal any thunder from Jeanty, but the next highest amount of rushing attempts for any player in NCAA was something like 70 less than Jeanty for the season. Boise literally ran their entire offense through him.

He clips himself with that last sentence, as Travis Hunter will most definitely go higher in the draft than Jeanty.

I'm fairly confident most of those RBs would have had better stats running against MWC defenses all season like Jeanty did. Dude still had an awesome season and deserved first place votes, but Hunter is just different.

Jeanty is more impressive as a rb than Hunter was as a receiver or corner. That said, Hunter is like having two great players. Im not sure if Hunter is the best at either position but add em both together?

But what is more impressive? Playing two positions or singlehandedly taking a team to compete in the playoff?

I dont think anyone singlehandedly did anything but id pick Jeanty. I get the argument for Hunter though.

I'd award Travis Hunter two Heismans for being an FSU solid commitment 100% only to give them the middle finger and sign with Deion in the last hour leaving them high and dry. I won a steak dinner on this bet by the way...said he would go somewhere else.
