Coaching Buzz: UNLV goes all in on...Dan Mullen??!!

I would love to have him if I had a great GM and DC. Lagway in his system would put up numbers better than Tebow did his Heisman year with the same supporting cast.

 

He should just become an OC at Ohio State or Penn State.

 

I’m surprised UNLV didn’t automatically pivot to Go-Go. The MWC isn’t exactly a defense heavy league. I actually believe lazy Dan would do okay there. The schedule next season is not loaded.

His ego is too big to ever go back to an OC role.

 

It would be fun to watch. My personal experience with Dan was highly positive and we had some good times with him at the helm, I wish him nothing but the best in Vegas.

 

I guess he’s rested and ready to get back to work. I’m surprised he jumped to UNLV rather than take a premier OC job and market himself accordingly.

 

Low expectations and a not so talented roster, and they could pay a few players like Colorado did and be competitive in their league.

 

That man is never going to be an OC again. It's far less control, and pays far less money.

His #1 goal now - Beat Boise State. A lot easier than beating Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Texas & Texas A&M.

 

Hopefully he doesn't play cards in Vegas....he tends to fold when things get tough
