Cities don't vote. People do. Cities are small pieces of land based on a somewhat arbitrary political decision. They aren't sentient. People are. I hope this helps.

According to the map in the OP, so are a substantial portion of the people in the U.S. Let's face it, the U.S. leads the world in stupid.

Thus explaining why hermits and people living in isolated compounds are viewed as the most rational people.

So you want to go back to exactly how the founders set things up? e,g, black people count as 3/5 of a person in census data, only white male property owners were allowed to vote, state legislatures chose senators etc etc? Things evolve.

Here is a map of my property showing who voted for Biden (blue) and the area where no one voted for Biden (red).

Think about that question and see if you can see the two major issues.

According to the map in the original post they're probably red since they apparently take on the characteristics of the eligible voters who own them.

The focus on county level granularity is very weird. No borders are real, so we could slice the nation up in an infinite number of ways and get an infinite number of color maps. I am not sure why this should represent the “true” map for people.

I don't think state legislatures should choose senators.

You can cry all you want but Trump's not going to prison. Instead, he's going to be our President for the next 4 years.

They were never California liberal but were left of center. The only statewide elected politician was Sen Nickles who was elected in 1980.

    Here’s one example with Oregon:

Harney County - 10,133 sq miles, 7,253 pop
Multnomah County - 431 sq miles, 757,371 pop

Harney County is 23 times the size but Multnomah has 104x the population. On the map posted in this thread Harney represents a major swath of red in land area but is almost negligible in its population. There’s no reasonable justification for claiming Harney votes should be worth more than Multnomah votes.

Is someone saying rural votes should count more?
