Yeah it's easier to believe the money part for sure. Have to believe the playing time stuff isn't totally accurate or the whole story. Can't be right?

A valuable OT should get that, but a rotational player without great stats is not getting that at UF.

Lol... let's not get ahead of ourselves. Even if this is his (agent's) "demands" that does NOT mean he would settle for less. And why would you feel the need to kick him off the team for asking for more than he's getting?

Only Napier knows what they will offer him, and he's the only one that would kick him off the team. We know he';s relentless and even when he's not making the plays, he is effecting the plays because he's occupying at least one and sometimes two players whenever he's in the lineup.

We don't know what other schools are willing to pay for his talents. And one quality in a player is next to invaluable... that's his motor. He is always playing hard, and he never takes plays off.

So, lay of the "bye" and door hitting him in the rear, nonsense.

 

I thought NIL meant Name and likeness, not contract negotiations on pay to play. What a dummy I am!

 

Good kid and a big loss. It sucks, but I don't blame him for leaving if another place is going to pay him more. That's a smart move if it pans out.

Yeah The article says the NCAA and colleges are adamantly against designating players as employees, necessary for a union, but I think ultimately that may be the only solution that adds stability through a collective bargaining agreement.

 

Its a pretty shoddy chirade.

 

If there is any veracity to the demands for guaranteed playing time, than this a cancerous stipulation that has the potential to disrupt the locker room and should be excised from the team. It’s a shame that there’s even an association with a favorite player who before now was well respected for his hard nosed approach and rising above his perceived ability. Sad day

 

I am locking this thread. I had to do way too much clean-up this morning.

We do NOT post rumors. I made a special post, stuck to the top, reminding everyone of that and, still, some posted rumors.

We do NOT bash players when they enter the transfer portal since they could come back and, even if they don't, that's not something we do. If/when they sign with another team they are fair game like all the rest.

Awesome Recruiting is part of Gator Country and the rules still apply here.

This is my last warning before other means to encourage following those rules. Thanks.
