I love those ground level highlights. There are several things that we've improved on the defensive side of the ball. Open field tackling is much better. And we swarm to the ball like I had been waiting for, that's been very impressive to see come to fruition during this season. I like the way the D-line finally figured out a way to get quick and persistent pressure on opposing QBs. That'really fun to see. This defense is starting to remind me of the better defensive teams we've had in our recent past... love the energy and tenacity coming from the entire defense. Of course, D.J. Lagway is a once in a generation QB, and he's just a true freshman with only half a season starting under his belt. He's the most exciting part of our offense. He will be fun to watch as he grows into that lethal offensive weapon that we will all see grow before our eyes. Give him the O-line and the receivers he needs, and the offense will be unstoppable. It seems like everything is in place for the coaches to do one small part, and that is to keep the talent we already have on the team, and get the portal players we need to fill some small holes in a few spots. I have a higher degree of confidence that Napier and his army will succeed in that task. I only hope we come out of the Summer in the same mindset that we did after the first bye week... when the lights seemed to come on... especially on the defensive side of the ball. I feel like the offense will be there with Lagway leading the way. Let's get the defense up to speed and do whatever they did in the bye week and just start from that high level... and I want to see where that leads us as a team. Start strong and end even stronger. Thank you, ET, another great video post... Go Gators!
The video of DJ (at the 1:34 mark) absolutely punking that Hole defender is straight up badass. The Hole thought he had him wrapped up, only to get mercilessly abused and have DJ complete a pass. Ha ha ha. That young man is a hoss.
If you look closely at the shots where our players are entering the field you can see what a shithole dump that stadium is.
"Make them wanna be somewhere else"... that line gave me chills. The turnaround this season was incredible. Big improvement on the Oline, it's the Dline that turned the season around. Pyburn provided a boost. Banks is just plain nasty. Sapp played possessed, #24 James flashed alot, Mccray. The change in overall attitude was pleasant to see. Lagway is generational... Baugh is a potential monster, I really like jackson. Oline development and a big receiver to compliment the speed at wr. And staying focused in the offseason
