Does this mean when I come to Gainesville, I have to pay five prices for a resold ticket? Seems it is just a money making scheme for some folks.
ECON 101, the tickets are priced too low. Season ticket holders can select just a few games that they want to attend, and the total price paid divided over those games they attend is worth it to them. Then they just trash the rest of the tickets. I don't think season ticket holders are reselling at inflated prices -- or even reselling at all. The many empty seats in the season ticket area proves that. I've always advocated that your right to purchase season tickets should depend on your either using the ticket, selling the ticket yourself, or putting the ticket into UF's resale channel. Unless you do that for 80% of the games, you lose your right to renew. So, you don't have to come, but you have to put your ticket into UF's resale program (or sell it yourself). This would put butts behind the plate and encourage attendance by fans who don't come because they don't want to sit on the 1B berm or by the 3B foul post.
This is worrisome! Do we have anyone else with catcher experience other than Jocey and AK? AK had the best batting average of last year’s freshmen….
Until we see her name in the portal I'm hoping it's jsut a website error or soemthing... I just find it hard to believe. Especially this time of year.
Looks like an INF or Utility player is going to have to start learning how to catch, especially someone who isn't an everyday starter. Or we better find a Grad Transfer quickly. Jocey can't play every game behind the plate.
My seats in Section 102 were filled for every game last year. I made it to only four series last year. I sold them at the Ticket Office price, $20 for non-conference and $30 for conference and FSU games. I never had a problem selling them. It’s really not a hard effort. We can fill KSP for every game with very little effort.

Because softball coverage is the way it is we won’t know until we know. If she has chosen to leave that’s a real head scratcher to me, doesn’t make sense. She’s a wonderful kid and talented player. Hopefully this is just some kind of glitch. If she does leave I’ll still root for her except if/when she plays against us lol.

I think AK is love struck, BTW Tim still follows her and she still states she is a Gator softball player on Instagram.
Well, AK is from Texas and her parents are both Aggie alum. We shall see what happens, but she is one of my favorite freshman Gator players ever.
Mine too! I met her at “First Pitch” last year and I found out she was an engineering student. Since I’m a mechanical engineering grad from Florida, we had a good subject to talk about and she was very receptive. She was enthusiastic about the engineering program. She really wants to be an engineer. That’s unusual about any UF student-athlete. They hardly any ever chooses engineering. Then at the Indiana series I met her parents and every series that I attended afterwards, they always had something to say to me. So, I am very partial to AK. I hope she finds a way to stay.
For whatever it's worth I'm listening to tim on the out of the box podcast and when he's discussing the infield he makes no mention of AK. Just that Cahalen has been at 3b a lot. Which this was recorded before all of this... so makes me think she may have been one foot out of the door all fall.
It makes sense. She was already enrolled for the semester and she wanted to finish. I think she wants to be at A&M with her boyfriend.
That would be a major loss losing AK in my opinion. There would have to be a sizeable drop in reliability with whoever takes her place not to mention the backup catcher role. And I hate atm so that would be a real bad taste to see her playing there. So, we're thinking our new pitcher already had surgery? That also can't be good. Hate to think the worst as i usually do but never getting any information leaves the mind to wander.
This AK going MIA is odd being as there are social media media posts related to UF as recently as late Sept. If true it seems rather sudden. Not sure why things like that can't be announced unless maybe there is still decisions to be made....but if the possibility to still be here is open why remove from team page? The first gut punch of the season before it even starts, I guess it's good we have a deep roster but it seems like not necessarily at the 2 spots we may need.
