You do not know that for a fact because it is not clear if a POTUS has to go through an official declassification process or not. Until the SCOTUS rules on that, it is just your opinion that those documents were declassified.

I'll certainly admit that there are people here who have followed the Hunter story more closely than I have, but a few things pop out: He paid Beau's widow for sex? And filmed them? He took classified documents Joe stole and used them to get his foreign contracts?

Considering that he will be out of office in less than two months, Joe Biden's pardon of Hunter is more or less irrelevant. What makes the optics so bad isn't the pardon itself but rather Joe Biden's decision to do so after promising that he wouldn't pardon Hunter.

Especially since those same members of Congress have had no problem with Trump's past pardons nor will they have any problem with his future pardons after he takes office again, the J6 insurgents coming immediately to mind.
