Moore - oft injured senior Grimsley - redshirt frosh w/ little PT Johnson - true junior McClain- redshirt frosh w/ little PT Foster- redshirt frosh w/ zero PT Hanks - true frosh I would not call that position deep. We're going to need a CB starter from the portal now IMO.
Point taken, but he was supposeldy the numer 3 CB in his class a year ago and started the first two games this year. It wasn't like he didn't have a fair shot. Plus, he is only a redshirt freshman next year. I'm not concerned about the loss, but it still seems like a head scratcher. If he was in his third year and was running 6th on the depth chart, then I get it. But compete, for goodness sakes.
and if you added Ja’Keem to that, you would categorize him as injured and inexperienced too. We were gonna need a portal CB anyways. His loss isn’t a big deal to me imo
Pwo needs to offer more than he did. Allen at least hit the field a couple times under our extreme emergency injury situations.
He had a whole year of playing minutes at his position and came back before the injury looking as bad in year two. He needs to get where they have a reason to spend a lot of time on the playbook and technique with him (can't get equivalent talent). He's now behind Dijon, Moore and probably Grimsley and Cormani and Banks.
Between Konanbanny and Banks, we’re getting two talented CBs. We were a very talented and deep DB room which is how we weathered the slew of injuries. Many of the young players got experience against top 25 teams and did just fine. Jackson barely contributed to the first two games with four tackles and one PBU. We really just need to replace those graduating or headed to the draft. Good luck to the young man, but our no fly zone will be just fine. The coaches are developing the talent and we have bodies.
At the time, we wanted to keep ETN. Seemed like a big deal at the time, but looking back, not so much...
I feared that behind georgia's OL he would be used to pound and embarrass us. Did not come to pass. Kirby got less than he hoped and that's great!
IMHO the JJ transfer is mutual, kid was probably rushed and the little he played he was burned a lot from what I remember. I had high hopes for him but unfortunately both parties will benefit as he can go to a better scenario for himself, but I hope he isn't one of these guys that leave to a team we play. I hope he succeeds in his next destination.
Good. Luck Kelby! There is only 1 guy on that list that has a lot of experience and he hasn't been able to be healthy for a full year yet. Talented depth is good. Talented, experienced depth is better.
A year ago I feel like Collins would’ve been a (what we thought) was a ETN type loss…..now our d line is so stacked he was barely playing. Good lucky Kelby!
