All Hype. Happens every year. Super signing day surprises. Click bait. Oh yeah... then there is is the super secret surprise or mystery recruit that will happen after signing day lol. I was a pay member on this site many years ago and the Gator recruiting gurus at that time thought it to be funny to punk their own subscribers.... Because there was no signing day surprise, They made up a fake mystery recruit with size, speed, stats out of a small school out North Carolina and led people on for days. Needless to say I terminated the subscription. As others and Candy have mentioned that most of the recruits left are sticking or going other places. Looks like we have the safety and perhaps the WR out of Oregon Wilson for tomorrow. May loose one of our Tight Ends to FSU who told him he is a WR. Looks like there will be a lot of high quality transfer WRs and Gators are going to spend the money in the portal. I used 247 Class Calculator and we would have to add EVERY rumored recruit to get our score to around 300. All the schools currently in the top 5 will finish with 300 or above. Here is hoping we get those players! Top 10-12 finish would be Awesome.
When people... players, agents and such are calling the Gator coaches, then you know this whole entire football program is about to shift into high gear. This is the Lagway effect that we have all been waiting for. They made a good point about the fans in the stands selling out The Swamp and making NOISE. If the playoff committee could get their heads straight, then Strength Of Schedule would be a huge factor in their selection process. Playing the best teams is what we the fans love to see. And playing a tough schedule should never be detrimental to our playoffs hopes. It should be a prerequisite... and it should actually be a benefit for our team to make the playoffs. We have one more year to impresses the fans... players... and eventually the committee... and Gator Nation. And by the end of next year, we should have our recruiting on cruise control, thanks in major part to D.J. Lagway. Go Gators!
