in the 2nd half the refs called whatever they could call on us...first half we were having a hard time moving are feet. We improved immensely in the 2nd half but refs were not having it.
We were sitting courtside and all game long we were chirping at the 2 male refs that they were calling weak fouls on us and both of them just turned to us and smiled. The male ref with hair has been a terrible ref against us for a couple of yers now.
honestly it does not matter who we play, we get the short end of the stick foul wise. It has been that for years now, dont know the issue against our program, but I have been threatened to be tossed so many times at the womens games. Another reason why I wish we had better crowds, it would drown out my voice more when I am there. I thought they were really trying to get Oneal going more, she was kind of just there the last few games. She is passive right now, but today she came to do work and got her double double.
Is Coach Finley working them, or screaming at them when they call a one-sided game? This might have been a good one to get tossed late to send a message . . . or it could have been so bad the refs were trying not to let Hofstra get embarrassed. Only it has happened for awhile.
Imean they dont care about teams getting embarrassed for other teams, it is a constant with us. They are especially picking on Mcgill right now..But I have rarely seen KRF come unglued..she migth need to honestly. If Liv was not in foul trouble at the tourney we were just at we win both of those games.
She's never on them. I asked her why she doesn't go off on the refs and she told me that if the team see's her lose her cool with the ref's it would lead to the players losing their cool as well. I have seen her a little feisty a couple of times last year but nothing like I see from opposing SEC coaches at our games. The Arkansas male coaches and Kim Mulkey really went after the refs last year (or the year before) and you could see them get more calls their way after they went after the refs. I told her, she needs to unload once in a while on them so they give her some of the fringe calls.
Thanks. This is something I worried about when asking the question. Maybe she doesn't yet feel "senior" enough. Usually like freshmen and to a lesser extent sophomores are more quiet. I hope she finds her voice since I've found it to be exactly the opposite: If your team sees you taking a T for them when they're getting hosed, they get more motivated. Also, it definitely makes a difference in the way a game is called . . . as you cited.
