it seems like most of our team are alphas this year. I think maybe a combination of Golden & Co bringing the dog out of them in the offseason with their S&C and extra focus on defense, or Martin rubbing off on them (or Golden recruiting these types of guys) but I can't think of anyone in the rotation that doesn't have that "want to" that seems to have been lacking in prior year's teams. I think this is one of those attributes that starts from the top and works its way down, and Golden definitely has that edge to him. Wherever it's coming from, I love it
I think these guys are playing with a chip on their shoulder. Picked to finish 6th by the media? That was a big diss. IIRC the 2006 Gator basketball team was predicted to be near the bottom of the SEC.
Emphasis added. And agreed! Also - I said preseason I'd be pumped with 9-3 headed into SEC play. That's very much a possibility still. (See no eggs involved).

Was that it? I just remember feeling robbed at the end of that game, but can't remember why. Figured we would get revenge on them later in the season, but I think they beat us again.
Again Bradshaw IIRC but maybe not. I just remember him being a thorn in our side in late game situations.
You can have too many alphas. I am thinking back to the Lee, Roberson and Walsh teams. If Peep looked to get David Lee touches more than he did we would have been a much better team. One game Walsh and Peep were hoisting up lots of shots and the game was much closer than it should have been. I told my wife that Lee would get a touch on the first ten possessions of the second half and he did. BD made the adjustment.
Too much basketball to play to even think about The Dance. And then in The Dance weird things happen. Just enjoy the ride and see where it goes.
