He is/was a Gator Redshirt Freshman wide receiver. Most likely he got buried in the dept chart of 18 wide receivers. He maybe seeing that he will not be getting much game time next season. It appears that this seasn was his redshirt year. In the 2023 season he appeared in 4 games and made some good plays. He is probably aware that the Gators currently have: 3 Senior wide receivers who will be moving on. 3 wide receiver recruits who have verbally committed. Two of them are 4 stars and the other is a 3 star.
I don't recall the specifics of his injury situation, but he did have some problems staying healthy. Too bad it didn't work out for him here. He was a considered a very good get at the time. Good luck in the portal and down the line.
I hope not but I can understand if it happens. These D-Lineman need to see that Dez, Cam and possibly Banks are leaving.
He had lots of potential..also is made of glass. Hope he does better at his next stop. Let's bring in someone who can get of the field.
I'd expect a bit more. Isn't the new rule of 85 scholarship and 20 walks-ons starting before next season?
With Jean leaving, we need a couple of the younger guys to emerge next year. The transfer portal has been good to the Gators the last two years but that is not guaranteed every cycle and UF needs to throw it around a good bit and give DJL those deep ball threats.
