When Amir committed, I saw a guy that in the right system would be a beast. Hope our system is for him.
I don't blame him. He should do what's in his best interest. If space were an issue, I would certainly wants another big DL or OT over another TE. If he stays on board maybe staff gives him a shot at WR. But fsu ?
He's played 3 seasons (2020 doesn't count) and has not played in the last two seasons. He could go after a medical redshirt. He's only been in college for 6 years. Keon Zipperer - Football - Florida Gators
As someone posted recently, Billy has some Lazarus in him. About the final whistle against TX, DJL apparently done, it looked like a 5 - 7 season What a turnaround since TX. Pit of despair to a great shot at 7-5, 4 and 4 SEC, Bowl eligible and 10 commits in 2 weeks. It's almost unreal to me, and I'm really glad, despite a tough 3 seasons, I see hope for a quantum leap in 25. Got the QB, a youth movement paying dividends, a resurgence in recruiting, and what appears to be some strong financial muscle to close on signing day and, work the portal. Put loss #10 on FSU, Win the bowl, keep what we got, fill some holes, add some depth, hey, why not, UF, competing for a playoff berth in 025?
I hate to beat the dead whore but the chip shot FG last season and the 4th and 17 kept us from a really good recruiting class.
Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts had a song that explained it. Had to do with a big friggin wheel. I know because I saw them sing it at The Rat
It's been a tough three years, no doubt, but i am hoping a corner has been turned, and a happier road lays ahead.
Might have missed on one or two will the poor record, but the Gators actually had a really good recruiting class last season.
As game time gets closer, and as I watch all these rivalry games being nuts, mine is beginning to manifest. Whipping the hated noles will of course alleviate my concerns.
