Great win and now have handed two teams their only loss. Great to know worst case we get one out of this. Looked horrible to start and still nearly won by 20.

A great close to the first half turned the game around and they never let up. Very good resume win to get to 7-0.
Very nice win for UF Men's BB today over a solid Wake Forest team. Gators scored the first 10 points of the 2nd half, then blew it open late after WF's coach got back to back T's and we hit all the free throws. Final score 75-58. Defense this year is much better than l.ast year. Alex Condon had a very good game. He had 12 points and 8 rebounds, while Haugh had 8 rebounds and Chinyelu had 9. Clayton, Richard and Martinw ere all in double fugures, the team ended up shooting just under 40% for the game and outrebounded them 44-30. I'm liking Todd Golden more and more, not only for the way he's built this team, but the way he fights for them on the sidelines and makes asjustments as the game progress.
He is perfect in games like this. Didn’t block a shot, but contested everything. Always put a body on someone. That’s what we need from him.

This is a good team. We score plenty and have not had a real good shooting game. Our top 8 is as good as any team. Clayton, Martin could be 1st team SEC, with Richrd, Condon second team. Our Center is getting better keeping his fouls down. Haugh is Solid. No true PG but make it work.
Clayton's stats were bolstered by all those technical free throws. Other than the back-to-back threes early in the second half, he didn't shoot well. I thought the "FAU guard", Martin was the player of the game despite being saddle with foul trouble. He is a hard nosed defender, something we didn't have last year. Definitely limited offensively (only one decent post scorer, inconsistent from the arc, no pick and roll game), but the defensive identity is completely different this year. Protect the rim, shoot passing lines, very effective on the defensive glass, can drop, switch, or hedge screens, much better keeping the ball in front of us on the perimeter. All of that has led to some scorching transition/early offense. As long as we move the ball well and our guards get downhill, we can still be good offensively. Just don’t have the inside-out balance of a year ago.
Im just going to sit back and enjoy this gator basketball team. Man they are REALLY good and fun to watch. It is such a joy honestly even when they are down.
Sloppy game at times but outcome was awesome. Was at the game on the baselone next to team bench. Anyone else notice right before the game started Handles did a jumping, spinning high 5 to someone? Looks like he could suit up tomorrow.
Last year they had all the calls at critical times in the second half to help them overcome us, Forbes forgot about that. Also we played in their arena, a little payback. Their backup big should have fouled out, he was blasting everyone on our team, unbelievable. Our depth wore them down. Go home Wake forest.
