By: Nick Marcinko -- November 26, 2024 Florida football is trending in the right direction both on and off the field after back-to-back wins over ranked opponents for the first time under Billy Napier. The Gators are receiving votes in the AP poll for the first time this season, despite their 6-5 record. Recruiting has soared in recent weeks, picking up eight commitments since November 11th, climbing from outside of the top 50 to No.17 in the 2025 class, according to 247 Sports. “It’s the most important game of the year”: Billy Napier knows what’s at stake vs FSU | GatorCountry.com
We’ll get their best game. Guys who have played disinterested will come out motivated. At least until we break their will and bring out the quitter in them. Same reason their game with Miami was closer than people would have predicted going in. Be important to start quick at let them know “Not today fellas”.
No point in dwelling on the negative in this case. Winning gives us a winning record, enhances recruiting, and will be a great springboard to the bowl season. Plenty of reasons to want to win besides our opponent being the holes. Beating them only enhances the situation. T
FSU played Clemson tough and I guess Miami as well based on post 3. We will get their best game of the year and I hope all the players know this.
I don't know, FSU trailed from the get go in both those games and never really threatened to take the lead in the second half. Of course, none of that matters now. Gators need to jump on them early as others have noted.
