Nearly 49% of the people don't agree with you. Telling and sadly dissapointing that Magats consider , without any proof, that juries are "prejudicial juries" if they find Pubs guilty. Perhaps as a repeat offender, having been proven guilty multiple times, Trump would not keep having to defend himself if he'd stop committing crimes. LOL
You didn’t want to go after Trump because he broke the law. Hillary and Joe Biden mishandled classified documents in a manner that violates the Espionage Act as well. You wanted to go after Trump because you hate Trump. Simple as that. The fact that they prosecuted Trump, but not Clinton or Biden shows that Democrats have already proven themselves guilty of exactly the same thing you accuse Republicans: “There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."
Charge them. Gotta prove mens rea. A bit harder to prove when they didn't hide the documents in their bathroom and then repeatedly lie when asked to return them. But I'm comfortable letting a jury decide this, which is what should have happened with Trump. Trump is credibly accused of committing crimes. He should face the same legal system that normal people have to put up with every day. Simple as that. Do you disagree? LOL. Still inadvertently proving my point.
If Trump had returned the classified documents as requested and didn't lie about their disposition or try to hide them he would have never been prosecuted. The FBI didn't need a search warrant although the agency might have secured warrants to search the premises where the documents were found because Biden invited the agency in advance to conduct its search. The same for Mike Pence. In the case of Hillary Clinton the issue wasn't whether physical classified documents were in her possession in an unsecured setting but that she transmitted classified documents through unsecured email.
I don’t believe in prosecuting people for political purposes. If Donald Trump wasn’t Donald Trump, I don’t believe any of this happens and I’m not alone. But I believe if prosecuting people for political purposes is fair game, it’s only fair if it’s applied equally across the board.
That's not an answer. Elected prosecutors exercise their discretion in a political way every day. You don't care when it's normal people in the crosshairs. So I ask again: "Trump is credibly accused of committing crimes. He should face the same legal system that normal people have to put up with every day. Simple as that. Do you disagree?" P.S. Normal people get charged and convicted of the same crimes you want to shield Trump from: Former federal employee faces up to five years in prison for mishandling classified materials Pentagon employee charged with mishandling classified documents – NBC4 Washington NSA Employee Charged With Mishandling Classified Material
Technically correct, a president and former vice president both of whom willingly cooperated did receive more lenient treatment than maybe ordinary federal employees who mishandled classified documents would have received. That being said a certain defeated former president would have almost certainly received the same preferential treatment had he chosen to cooperate rather than openly defy one or more requests to return the documents. Instead he refused to cooperate, lied about the disposition of the documents and when he was prosecuted claimed victimhood. Apparently his supporters believe that because he was a former president and decided to run for office again he should be above the law.
Smith only spent $50 Million Dollars in two years on these bogus charges. O well like they say easy come easy go
They rejected inflation and immigration, and the election was decided by less than 250k votes. Less than 50% of the votes cast were for djt. Get a clue
And they clearly didn’t let January 6th, the two impeachments, the dozens of federal counts, the pending indictments, or the fear-mongering comparisons to Hitler stop them. Democrats did everything they can to sabotage the Trump campaign. And it didn’t work. Trump won every single state that was on the table.
You seriously don't believe he illegally possessed top secret docs and encourage a violent mob to attack the capital? You might want to change your meds
