Not sure how the Gator D can be considered one of the best in the SEC. Okeechuba informed us all that total D is the definitive stat. I mean consider how those 65 & 69 yard drives boosted Ole Miss total offense.
Yeah thats cool but like we were told, a bunch of times, we're shmixteen out of schmixteen in the SEC in giving up something or another, and that means we must suck because it says so on the internet. Or so I'm told
How ironic. Considering all of your opinions lack any form of logical context, I am convinced you don't watch the games at all
It's Matt Hayes' opinion, which right now i would say we are playing at a very high level of D. Amazing stat, if anyone wants stats that relate to winning football games, is our D held the high powered Offense of LSU to 6 points in the 2nd half, and Lane Kiffen's powerful Offense to 3 points in the 2nd half. That's winning football played by a very good D.
I lived in the Atlanta area for almost twenty years. The Tech fans were pretty cool the one time I saw them against UF at Grant Stadium (Gator blowout in '80). The dwags were anything but cool. Even at a baseball double header in Athens some years later they were acting like unwashed half-wits. Go figure.
Stats like these are holy water and garlic to oka the troll and what many have been trying to explain beyond total yds bs he spews
Nobody “ignored” a rare talent at quarterback. This is bullshit. Neither you nor I nor the guy who wrote this article know more than Billy on what’s the best way to insert a true freshman quarterback into the toughest schedule of games in the nation. Do it wrong and you can kill his confidence, get him hurt, or worse. Who do you start him against? Miami, in game 1? Sit your senior starter and throw the 18 year old, fresh out of high school to the wolves? These asshats passing judgement from behind their keyboards. SMDH
The lagway family publicly stated they were content to have DJ sit back and learn from Mertz rather than be guaranteed the starting job from the get go. Totally unrealistic to act like DJ should have started against Miami. In all honesty as much as we like Mertz and his character he really played a poor game in that one although I'm not sure he didn't have help doing so especially from that offensive line at the time.
We held the Vols under their OFFENSIVE GENIUS head coach to a very low second half as well. Texas game was an outlier, for sure.
What admission do you think Matt is making? Because that part is first person for Florida fans - all of us.
And this is why I said Dabo wasn't going there many years prior. He's not stupid enough nor arrogant enough to replace Saban- which is a tall task indeed. Count me in for some Billy Napier crow as well.
Because since you posted this yesterday the thread has increased by almost another 3 pages. (Including your post ) People like it. It's just silly fun. This thread is no longer a Billy deathwatch thread, but more a testament to what is looking like a historic turnaround.
Billy talked about this with Brian Burns and Chris Doering. He basically said that DJ had to grasp so much so quickly and that Graham deserves a lot of credit for helping DJ be prepared and that DJ deserves a lot of credit for learning so quickly and latching on the Graham.
