You could argue that Georgia HS athletes are now developing better than FL HS athletes due to the investment in coaching at the HS level in Georgia. Part-time HS football coaches in Florida versus highly paid Georgia coaches.
Why so damn quiet? Are we only getting the two to go public this week and flip and any other major flips we'll only find out about on ESD?
4 star LB. Class is now up to #19. Dude can play. Also plays WR and Kick returner in the video. He looks 5 Star to me?
The momentum we have we might end up top 15 and if we subtract out punters/ kickers the player rating might end up top 10. We also might get top 3 portal transfers to us. Thoughts?
It would be a hell of a turn around and all credit should go to BN and his army. Dare I say SS should get a little credit for not pulling the trigger quickly like many of us wanted. Still not sold on BN but I'm willing to sit back and see how it plays out.
Agreed, I will take my lumps and admit after TX I thought it was all over. I am happy to eat crow about DJL coming back. I just didn't see it, I thought hammys were a long recovery process. Guess I will stick to my craft and leave my medical opinions to myself going forward. To elaborate on the turn around, it has been really joyful to get back on the Gator train and enjoy football again. While some teams are sinking the Gators are rising, and at a good time. We like to give CBN hell about all his errors, but ya know, he brought us DJL, was on him early, and the kid never wavered on his committment. I think it's pretty clear that DJL is that difference maker QB every team hopes for. Get him healed up, he could be lights out in 25. The other HUGE improvements of course are the defense (overall) and the offensive line. Still work to be done this year, but if UF gets it done in Tally Saturday, I think most of Gator Nation will be pleased with a 7 - 5 finish. I certainly will. Next years expectations will be higher, and they should be, but finish 7 - 5, reel in a good finish to early signing day and the transfer portal, and we may just have something to smile about next year, in terms of competing with the big boys.
We sure that's a linebacker? Might be an All American safety who returns kicks and decleats receivers.
SS credit for clarifying that CBN is not getting fired any time soon. Clears up any “dead man walking” concerns that may have held back recruiting.
I’ll give him credit, but he still needs his walking papers. His other hires have brought some real issues to our campus.
Jeff Saturday actually coached at my daughter's small private school briefly when his son was attending.
The trio of new commits joins a growing UF class that moved from No. 26 to No. 20 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings with their pledges. They are the fifth, sixth and sevenths commitment in the past 2 1/2 weeks since the Gators opted to retain head coach Billy Napier for next season. In that time, the Gators have pulled off consecutive upsets of LSU and Ole Miss to get themselves bowl-eligible after a 4-5 start.
Nice to see another flip but we haven’t had much luck with three star receivers…the last being Andy Jean. It seems they rarely pan out. Offensive linemen is a different story. Hopefully tounkara can change that situation.
Does there seem to be any chance with Pickett? I felt good about him a while ago, but haven’t heard much lately. Hoping he decides to stay closer to home and that our DB coach was actually an upgrade.
