Live right now . . . I'll post time stamps when it's over. Coach Napier to start 21:25 Bryce Thornton LOTS of dead time in-between 37:00 DJ Lagway * * * * * Edit: Thanks to @FranceGator who shared this in the Post-Game Thread:
I, like just about everyone else, really like Billy Napier. It's hard to imagine what he's been through and he could be gloating that he's proved his detractor's wrong. Instead he is gracious and self effacing. A really good man that hopefully will grow as a coach. It's been a while since I felt this good this late in the season.
Didn't see it posted anywhere and man ESPN did him beyond dirty robbing us fans of this interview. BN is unquestionably emotional and a GREAT interview given everything this program has endured this season.
I find most interviews with football coaches just boring. Some are less boring than others but it's rare that a coach says anything insightful or interesting, post game especially.
It was what you want to hear a coach say, as a person he represents the university and in turn its alumni and fans well.
At least BN comes off as genuine, and well spoken. None of the Darth Vader crap like the previous coach.
To the people saying DJ bailed out a bad CBN: watch DJ in the presser. He was asked how he could make throws with defenders draped on him. He said the coaches prepare him, they actually practice that very thing. My hot take: now is not the time to bring in an outsider as OC with a radical overhaul. DJ came for Billy's system. It's starting to work.
we need to scheme WRs open or get talented kids that can get open without the scheme. They and a good OL make QBs look good.
I’m really blown away by how mature and together DJ is as a true freshman. Totally confident and well-spoken and humble in his choice of words and delivery. Dude is an outstanding face for our program. Generational talent on and off the field. One thought that hit me was how he answers questions. He delivers the message succinctly and then just stops and waits for the next question. No rambling. To the point, boom, next question. Very impressed with this leader. True freshman. Wow
I am so happy for Coach Billy. He’s been through hell. And he’s come through with his head high. Yet still selfless. What a strong character. So happy for him
I'm so glad Stricklin didn't succumb to internet keyboard cowboys, and their s--t opinions. I really like Napier, and it's obvious the players do too. I think they would run through a brick wall for him. Oh... and there is this small part about not having to read the papers and learn which player got arrested or did something stupid. Napier deserves a lot of credit for that.
I'm not sure if I have ever seen a CFB team rally around their HC the way our players have rallied around CBN? Now I really am pulling for him to succeed now more than ever!
Napier may or may not be the right guy, but he represents this program in a really classy way. If he turns out to not be the guy, I will wish him well and never trash him when he’s gone. He has certainly earned that much. With that said, I really hope he is the long term solution.
