And why should the government have any say in whether the military draft is formally ended forever or not? Why should your daughter or any woman even get a say in that, a law that only impacts men? As far as I'm concerned, women should be ineligible to be President as long as the military draft is in place or women aren't included. A woman can't be Commander in Chief when her own sex have no true skin in the game and she knows her daughter will be protected. Meanwhile many people's sons will effectively be given a death sentence.
It is when it comes to the military draft. Women want equality unless it doesn't fit them, then they want "traditional gender roles". If a military draft was instituted and woman were included, you would suddenly see almost every woman getting pregnant or trying to get pregnant. Women just want to pick and choose. True equality means you get everything, the good and the bad.
I absolutely believe those pro-abortion women are pro-draft since it doesn't impact them. Notice you never see feminists groups say a da*n thing about the draft. So yes in my minds they are hypocrites. And I do think the right gets the draft issue wrong as well. Neither side have clean hands when it comes to the military draft, republican or democrat.
Honestly, I would be okay with men and women declaring war on each other. Only one sex stands at the end. Whichever sex wins inherits the Earth and the other sex is subjugated. While not worldwide, I think it's trending that way here in the U.S. Gen Z men and Gen Z women essentially can't stand each other already.
Even if your ridiculous war was fought, men won and all women were subjugated, you're still not going to get one to go out (or do anything else) with you.
This thread is what happens when you don’t have a woman in your life. Unhinged sadness and anger. I’d give my sympathies but I am all out right now.
BTW conscription has been around since the era of Mesopotamia. In USA since the civil war. when done, women were considered chattel and could not vote until 1920. The all male military make believe draft that does not exist ? The one that was last used in 1972? 54 years ago? That draft?
Please step away from 4chan, Andrew Tate, and your online video games. This response is honestly kind of sad.
Voluntarily. Women will never be forced like Men can be. And sure it hasn't been used since 1972. Men know that is always one day, one war away from changing on a dime, and you all know it. Big difference between volunteering and being forced to serve against your will.
Are you aware that Trumps secretary of defense choice (and former Fox & friends host) wants to take women out of combat roles? It seems like you and your donaldgod have a disconnect on the issue.
There are few times I go WTF on here , but this is one of those times. Obviously my man has mommy issues and just needs some of the women on this board to give him a swift kick up the rear. I would say a hug but I doubt any women on this board would touch him with a 10 ft pole. One thing I must correct, the whole not getting fed financial aid if you don’t register for selserv ended a few years ago. They removed the question from the FAFSA and no longer care if you register or not. You still recv financial aid, case closed. If they brought the question back and reinstated the policy it wouldn’t affect much since kids register anyways through various ways. My experience, the federal govt has little appetite to go after kids who don’t register for the draft anyways and don’t remember the govt fining and imprisoning someone over it since I was 18 (1996). My kid will turn 18 next year so we’ll get him registered anyways. We are rule followers by nature. I’m pretty confident when they see him do a “pushup” they’ll just say “go home kid”
Whatever happened to the wild-eyed demographic of vengeful women who were going to drive Trump into the wilderness and then soak him for all he was worth and consign him to prison ?
I tend to oppose a draft generally. Having said that, if we're going to require men to register, I'm good with requiring women to do so as well. I assume the government could identify other roles for men and women who don't qualify for combat.
Bro, it’s probably just overlooked as an issue. Nobody’s talking about it because it hasn’t been a matter of practical importance for decades. That said, I’ve always thought the “my body, my choice” argument in favor of abortion is more of a distractor from the actual issue. It’s not about the pregnancy for the vast majority of women. It’s about the responsibility that comes with bringing a child into this world and caring for it. Are there exceptions? Of course. But that’s not the reason most abortion advocates favor abortion.
A quarter million women are serving. Say it aloud. twice Nope. One war away? BS Over 1.5 million U.S. service members from all military branches served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). So you are 1000 percent wrong. It ain't happening. Women serve now. A half century ago draft is irrelevant to this discussion. IF there is a draft, women will be called as well. Mark My Words, I guarantee it. But see here is the thing. War is in the air now- drones especially. A conventional ground war involving the USA will never happen. Modern conflicts increasingly involve airpower, cyber operations, and proxy forces, potentially reducing the need for large-scale ground troop deployments.
