By: Eric Fawcett -- November 23, 2024 Starting the season with a relatively easy slate the Florida Gators (6-0) sit perfect but things will get a little more challenging Thursday as they head to Kississimee to take on Wake Forest (6-1) in the ESPN Events Invitational. On-target analysis. I'm a Wake grad with a daughter at UF. Have watched all Wake & UF games this season. If Wake center Efton Reid continues to sit out with migraine issues, we will absolutely crush them on the boards. Wake is really struggling due to PG issues. The plan going into the season was to allow Hunter Sallis to handle the ball more so as to enhance NBA prospects (when, in fact, he's far more effective off the ball). Wake brought in PG Ty-Laur Johnson from Louisville through the transfer portal, but the kid has become an absolute turnover machine in limited minutes. Wake has also really struggled from 3-point land. Gators should win this one by double figures.
let's hope, thanks for the intel. I wonder if Reid is still battling with migraines. Chinyelu would seem to match up well with him and Martin or Aberdeen on Sallis seems like a good match up too.
Big boy basketball on Turkey Day. I love it and will be watching as I munch on a Turkey Leg! Hope gator34202's, prognostication is on target. Last years 2nd half was a disappointment.
