We Basically ended that game on 3 interceptions. And we’re down 3 or 4 1s and 2s. Imagine all these guys healthy and back next season….., Discuss…..
Guys have really stepped up. We have a lot of guys coming back and with a year of development we will be solid. Need Moore to get healthy and stay healthy for a dominant senior year. I hope Gates is OK.
Not quite sure were dbu yet. But we hawked the $#!+ out of those Passes. And for the past 3 coaches, those plays were exactly where we lost 4 games a season, especially against lsu (ie 4th and late , FU Les Miles). Today we made that play over and over at the end. I’m not sure how long it will take to get over 3rd and grantham syndrome. I don’t think I’ll ever sleep with the lights off again.
I'm not sure, but when a Gator hater in TheRant called Billy Napier "SEC Billy" that was a good sign...
I suppose the DBU moniker could be helpful in recruiting or something. Around here it's just people that think they're funny posting "DBU lololol" every time an opposing WR makes a catch.
We’ll be back to DBU when we stop playing our backs 10 yards off the line of scrimmage and can press coverage. We’re making a small step in the right direction.
I’m rewatching the game and the mid-season turnaround of the Gator Defense is insane. They are playing smart, tackling is sound, and they have been unbelievably clutch during our big wins.
Confirmation bias: QED It’s a foolish question, IMO. Both things can be true, plus one can inspire another - and more likely that the defense inspires bad decisions. Bad decisions and bad defense would probably have led to a worse outcome for us.
Both. And a couple drops that made my heart stop. I did notice that Dart loved throwing to the left side of the field, hell or high water.
They talk a lot about simplification of the defense being the catalyst for the change. And even with Grantham, how he had this amazing system but the players couldn’t learn it or execute it. Doesn’t matter how smart or elegant your system is, if no one can run it, it gets named “3rd and Grantham”. I wonder how complex the system was and what they did to cause such a dramatic shift over a bye week. You can’t just install a new defense overnight, but somehow, they did. and the results are stunning.
