I still remember reciting the Lord's Prayer every morning in elementary school "Our father who chart in heaven Harold be thy name".

Yes, that's what the prayer sounded like to a 7-year old Jewish kid who had never heard the prayer until he was required to recite it in school.

Jesus was Jewish. Nothing in "the Lord's Prayer" is offensive to Jewish teaching; its steeped in Jewish tradition. Jesus prayed it as a rabi, before he was deemed offensive to the Jewish authorities (rather, a threat to their authority).

    Fwiw.

No. I agree. It gats back to my previous comments. Math is for math etc. elective religion classes are probably the fairest way to allow it in public schools.

I am more concerned with having our children subjected to things that violate our faith. But I have to understand that other faiths feel that way too.

This is why on the **rare occasions** that sexuality, gender etc are brought into young classrooms, that our voices are not silent.

I don't want a pulpit in schools, but I do what a podium where we can defend our faith if the true need arises.

I think what you are seeing is similar to the election.
The desire to push God out of public life (by some) has created an overcompensation to try and force God back in. (By some)

Can’t be worse than using drag queens for reading lessons.
