If you are a coach, sure. But it’s human nature for players. Hardly indicative of the team.

human nature for sure, but still. If you don't want to play defense because we're up big late, sub in someone that would kill to get minutes. It was 2 guys standing there in back to back possessions/rebounds. Hence my comment that we were "getting lazy". That's very different than saying we are all lazy rebounders as a team all the time. 14 offensive rebounds in a half for a team with no one taller than 6'8. Those are coaching moments.

yes and Martin said exactly as much in the postgame interview - that we need to learn how to play with a lead. BD used to always talk about fighting human nature

Defense was stifling when turned on.

Martin. Wow. I was just starting to question just a smidge. Holy!

Not sure about +/-, but I'd guess Tommyhawk is a huge plus. He's like Roy Kent, "he's here, he's there, he's every...." Well, you know. Chins likely - at this point. Love the big man, but his hands haven't been there lately and I feel like it's in his head now.

Lots still to clean up (FT%!!!) and things start getting real now, but a spread covering dub is a spread covering dub!

Glad you said something about Chin-hands. He had passes and rebounds in his hands all night and simply let them get away. His rebound-mishandling alone tipped the rebounding edge in their favor.

Martin was on fire, but a great game from Haugh also. 19 points 7 rebounds and the usual hustle. Good to see some other guys step up.

When you are winning by 30 ish points most of the game …it starts to sloppy. Just does. No one wins by 60 in this game. Never happens. Just be he happy with a good win. Go Gators.

They still kept the turnovers really low. Lots of assists. Good to see different guys step up to lead the scoring. Martin was on fire and Haugh had a huge game. Nice win. Things start to get real now with the competition heating up. I like this team though.

No, but it's one small piece of it. 90% of it was a lack of energy and focus in the paint by all our bigs for long stretches of the 2nd half. We had a pretty big edge in rebounding at the end of the first half.
CTG was so frustrated by it, he was yelling "block out, block out" when there was just 0.7 seconds left in the game and Saluki was about to shoot free throws.

After shooting 46% from the free throw line last year, Haugh has quietly shot 80% this year. Nice.

6’10” with long muscular arms, he is still getting used to his body in the fast paced SEC. I feel when this next stretch of games with these national D-1 team we play, he is going to realize, focus with tremendous energy is required. This will help him grow and get better. He is like a Great Dane puppy. Just playing more games with Elijah Martin
will show him how to use his God given ability. He is young and I am pulling for him to be great!
