Just not up to playing good competition. We'll probably beat all the cupcakes until we play UNC.

 

these refs stink, 2nd quarter they left FSU grab hold and tackle our kids and called every foul they could on us to put FSU on the line..Their guards have gotten every call against us and this is one of the things that really make me sick about womens basketball..the officiating is even worse then the mens game

 

hard to do when the refs are putting them on the line constantly. Just putrid officiating..

 

KAF is not the answer leading the women’s program, imho. The end.

 

I haven’t watched this game, but I see 40 free throws from fsu, 26 from us.

the good:

-laila is back, put in good minutes
-ra shaya still looks good, double double machine anchoring the post
-Liv is just scratching the surface of how good she can be
-Me’arah is supposedly day to day
-We looked like we statistically competed in 3/4 quarters


The bad:
-18 TO
-We sent them to the ft line 40 times and got out rebounded
-We need O’Neal to get experience in these type of games so it’s a bummer she went out as soon as Reynold came back
-Reynolds looks rusty for sure
-Liv needs to clean up the turnover a little
-we need better outside shooting


I wouldn’t say that KRF needs to go just yet because great teams aren’t built overnight unless your reputation precedes you (geno, dawn, mulkey) and she spent a couple years cleaning up newbauers messes and rebuilding trust in the program. We compete in the toughest conference in wbb (maybe just my opinion) and are fighting dawn Staley, Kim mulkey, etc for recruits

that being said. I’m sure I’ll have some comments once I see the game all the way through

 

How many times have we been in the bottom of the SEC? We might be a better team than last year but you need to be teams with a pulse.

First we lost out on a few recruits this year because our fan support sucks, 500 to 800 in the stands for games is putrid. Then the extras are usualy local kids and teams. I see the same faces year after year.
Do you even watch a game to make an educated comment on the team?
If you want a change tell people to come to games, support the team, womens basketball is probably the toughest sport to make a change in momentum in all the sports that I have seen in college athletics now.
2k a game would make a huge difference for the program. It is tiring people that make comments on our sports who literally dont watch nor make any contribuiotn at all..not monetarily but just even show up for games

That being said all of us get tired of seeing us in the bottom half

 

, what I have typed up top would be a start to help spark, KRF like Hoosier stated has been cleaning up messes and putting out fires all over the place from what Cam did to our program. I personally at the beginning might have looked outside the program for a new coach but we didnt. She is so well liked and recruits top 100 players and gets them on the team. Now it needs to be consistent every year. No one has done this before, from talking to those experts I got to talk to they think are 3 signees from other countries would be top 100 here..well 1 already is. I think the last 2 games showed the Saugues is not the starter answer for our team at 2 guard. She is more a 6th man to me, but we with our injuries have had to put her in there.

Liv is special, she made some freshman mistakes last night, but she was amazing for the most part. Their guards could not deal with her. We put her next to a 2 guard who can handle the ball a bit better it would help a lot.
I would like to see us on a neutral floor against FSU fully stacked each team. Again those refs in the 2nd quarter took us out of the game completely with some terrible foul calls. We held their shooting way down to like 36% last night. They won hitting a few more 3s then us and many many more FTs.

Reynolds looked very rusty, shot form always looks good. We are about 7 good deep, we need to be 9 deep for this league and to keep up consistently. Hopefully KRF can correct that for next year and figure something out moving forward this year.
