Not sure where you got these figures. UF OOS is actually more than 28k (tuition + fees). LSU is the same. Both schools probably offer in-state tuition waivers for certain qualified students.

Yeah, city already pointed that out.

Still doesn't do anything to address the point-- which was that the cost did not change significantly, while the OOS apps have apparently gone up substantially.

Hey, you were only 43% off. That kinda math oughta get ya into a fine institution like Louisiana State Shreveport. Not only are your facts off, you haven't provided anything but speculation for your point.

See what you started... you gave the Dems a BONE... and those dogs will gnaw on it till the cows come home.

They have the focus of dogs... you talk about a serious subject (college and university reform) and then you toss them a side bone of a non-important side note, and they lose all control and follow the BONE to the ends of the Earth... They're so predictable.

I'll bet they chase cars too.

Because facts matter when crafting an argument. 92 was making a claim that LSU was vastly cheaper than UF for OOS tuition, but that was not even close to the truth.

    I volunteered my opinion.

If you follow the rabbit hole you its starting point, you'd see that I prefaced my assertion with IMHO.

When AJ countered with the cost of tuition, I looked up cheapest OOC school, which produced that link which I posted.

    Yeah, I missed the Shreveport.

Yeah except...no. that was a collateral issue.

    Riddle me this, rocket boy:

How does pointing out that another school's OOS tuition costs the same or less than UF, say dick about my actual assertion, which was that the OOS cost of Florida's universities, was NOT the driving force behind a spike in OOS Applicantipns for THIS year???

What's more, there hasn't even been a notable change in OOS costs for Florida's universities in the last few years.

Get off on yo had selves!

    Lol!

That you keep referring to race says something about your attitude towards people of color. As I said before, race has nothing to do with it. I've conceded that the "woke" movement can be overdone, but on the whole it's about all of us treating each other with kindness and respect.

You need to use the term “allegedly” OOS apps have gone up. We haven’t really established that. UF still has one of the lowest OOS enrollment levels of any flagship. Not sure why… but… OOS enrollment has been going up steadily for the last decade. It was 10% about 7 or 8 years ago. Now it’s 15%. Math would suggest it’s been going up as UF’s reputation ranking has.

It was on Twitter. But the declining test scores and rankings have been covered elsewhere:

New College of Florida embraces affirmative action for men

    The spending has too:
New College of Florida spending called into question

They're also making an absolute mess of the university's endowment, treating it like a money dispenser for conservative grifters. Of course, the people criticizing the mismanagement are being removed from their posts by the same conservative grifters:

Why would i "need to" use the word "allegedly", when i disclosed my source (which is admittedly patently anecdotal), and prefaced my assertion with "imho".... on and message board?

You do know they actually have a disagree rating, don't you? Lol
