I don't know if this should be a stand alone thread, but it’s a unique situation with the extra twenty scholarships.

Anyone have an idea on how CBN is gonna handle this? Are we looking at a 50-man class (recruits/portal) and how do we project the distribution?

SEC maintains 85-scholarship limit for 2025 season ahead of transformative House v. NCAA settlement
We may have to treat this thread as buying a lottery ticket and thinking what it would be like to win, as according to CBS sports reporting the SEC is deciding to stay at 85.

OK, this'll be a short thread.

Well go it again next year.

The original thought was, 105 but no walkons. Everyone has a ship. Not sure how this will work if SEC stays at 85

I would take the House to court with real lawyers (get the states involved) to keep the walk-ons at least at the same level as before if we stay at the 85 scholarship player level.

I think the SEC doesn’t want our major players to hoard the talent needed for the mids to compete. Very few programs outside of the SEC can afford the 105 option anyway. Just my $.02.
