Somehow, I just knew that co-president Elon was going to target poor and retired people with his budget cutting ideas, not something like subsidies on $100,000+ cars or bloated rocket launching contracts ...

the taxpayer has been stepping in to increase the void that has grown due to economic disparity and increase substance abuse from opiods. if we want the taxpayer to not be the safety net, we need to work on the income disparity issue. this admin is only going to make it worse. haves will get more, have nots will get less. put all the lipstick on it anyone wants, that's the basis of it all.

Go look at a chart that shows the tax receipts for FY 2008-2023.
Tell me we don’t take in enough money with a straight face.
Actually spending as a percent of GDP has risen overall for years. This link shows that it will shoot up during wartime, recession, (Covid). But 23% is far above the non-war/ calamity average.

That’s funny. As far as know there are no subsidies for 100k cars. As for bloated rocket launch contracts Space X does it way cheap and faster than anyone, including NASA (whom I love).

Well that’s the odd thing since according to many Trump has no plan. If there is no plan how do we know what tax cuts there are?

Maybe cutting the corporate rate(those evil rich corporations). You know the ones owned in large party by union workers, state pension holders and anyone who has an S&P index fund.

We went from like 30+% of GDP to 23%, prior to that it was more like 17% historical average.
Wars, recessions and pandemic jacks it up.

2022 and 2023 it should have been closer to 18-19%, but hard to take back the cheese when the Gov is handing it out.

90% of stocks are owned by a small group of Americans. We've had 50 years of the trickle down experiment and the only thing it has done is exploded the wealth gap

Federal revenues as a percentage of GDP is lower now than it's been for most of the last 60 years. If you want to reduce the deficit we need to increase revenues.

You might be confusing tax cuts with healthcare. Trumph tax plans have been addressed thoroughly.

You do understand ITEP is quite left leaning?
This is what I'm talking about, the term tax cuts for the rich is coming from the left.

Cool. Here's another left-leaning read for you. This one requires you to actually read stuff. Maybe you will.

Trump’s Tax and Tariff Ideas: Details & Analysis
However, the tax changes Trump has proposed would not be felt evenly across all income groups. In general, Trump has proposed tax cuts that provide a larger relative benefit to higher-income taxpayers, while his major proposed offset of higher import tariffs falls harder on lower- and middle-income taxpayers.

    Is taxfoundation.org a left-leaner?
