Hear them in Christian circles and I laugh a bit. All good songs though.

Madonnas BJ song, Hoziers gay lover song, and Keisha’s F’U to a abusive lover don’t exactly praise God but catchy.

2 sat nights ago my wife got wasted at a neighbor's BD party & when Hold On by Wilson Phillips came on she yelled to the room, ____ wrote a song called Wilson Phillips I wanna eat your ______. Now, I am a post-modernist who feels works of "art" do not have objective meaning, but my song completely lacks subtlety & it seems hard to imagine that it would be misinterpreted.

I too got pretty tipsy. There is drunk & then there is dancing by yourself in front of 30 people to West End Girls drunk. I was the latter. PSBs - England's greatest band????

So, I woke up the next morning with WP on my mind. That was the 1st song I ever wrote. I wrote it in 1990 & didn't write another song for 25 years. even though it was only 2 verses, I struggled to remember them. I decided, what the hell & recorded it - poorly, even by my low standards - by myself on Monday. 34th anny edition. PM if you think you can handle it.

YES! With the exception of being pulled onto the "dance floor" for Love Shack, I avoided dancing until all the women were done & that tune came on. I can't not dance to WEGs.

Kind of reminds me of the way both the Reagan campaign and the Trump campaign used Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA, without permission I might add. Rather than a patriotic anthem the song is about the sad treatment of working class Vietnam veteran after he returned from the war.
