$10,000 is a decent chunk of change. Seems like it would be easy to trace.

It was already noted back during his buddy Greenberg's investigation that Matt Gaetz used venmo for his payments

And you have proof this happened? No... you do NOT have any proof of this unfounded allegation, you're simply parroting the fake news.

So let the ethics report come out and put it to rest. Blocking it's release is suspicious

Lol... guilty by (supposed) friendship? Or guilty by association? Yeah... that's silly.

Yes, actually we do have proof that this happened.

Gaetz paid accused sex trafficker, who later sent same amount of cash to teen girls: report

If the House conducts an ethics report that report should be released regardless of the politician

Rick will deny the report's findings so why does he care if it is released?

Here are the actual exhibits. The notations for the payments are hysterical. $400 for refreshments, $300 for Love you (to an 18 year old,) $250 for Being my friend, $400 for Being Awesome and $420 for Joy!!

    Nothing to see here.

Gaetz sent over $10K in Venmo payments to 2 women who testified in House probe, records suggest

Paying a person money isn't against the law. Why do you think that he was sending the guy you referred to as a "scumbag" large sums of money to send to a 17-year old sex worker?

Paying a guy who regularly paid underage sex workers to have sex in the state of Florida isn't evidence of the violation of a federal law. If he paid a 17 year old from Florida to have sex with him in Florida, that isn't a violation of federal law. He would have needed to pay her to leave the state to have sex with him to make this an issue of sex trafficking, which is a federal crime. I think he is accused of doing this, but you need to prove that aspect of the crime.

Now, one should wonder why the state of Florida doesn't seem too interested in investigating this.

Are you sure? Because they really want it to be sound proof. And really wanting something counts for a lot when it comes to determining guilt or innocence of a crime. If a certain group of people really want something bad enough to go their way, facts and evidence no longer matter.

So you figure that it is pure conjecture to link him sending $900 to his close friend, who has admitted to engaging in sex acts with underage sex workers (including this girl), with the label "For *insert nickname for underage sex worker*" with services provided as part of her job as an underage sex worker?

Edit: And based on the evidence that just came out, you also think that him sending her thousands of dollars directly was also unrelated? Has he provided a good explanation for why he was sending thousands of dollars to underage sex workers beyond the obvious?

I'm wondering when she turned 18. Seems like the travel related ones were all at the end of the list. Months of "being my friend" type transactions before that...
