Will Kelly remember I Won't Back Down?

I remember from back in the 90's and 00's (it may go back further, I am going by my living memory here as a 39-yeard-old) when our band would play "Hey! Baby", the crowd always added in that "Ooh! Ah!" after singing" "Heeeeeeeey babbyyyyy" so it being inserted after a similar vibe during "I Won't Back Down" just seems a natural extension of that, to be honest. Like a collective memory of generations of Gator game attendance past. Echoes swirling around the stadium.

I have vivid memories of that: "Heeeeeey babbyyyy (ooh! ah!) I wanna knoooooow if you'll be my giiiiirl" BUM BUM BUM BUM dadadada

 

Say what you will about Napier, but his players like him and are playing FOR him. Not sure I see that about Kelly, just sayin'.

 

So pop culture was my answer. It’s what I figured.

They were nasty before that - the kind of fans that have their toddlers giving you the middle finger from the side of the road (this actually happened to me at a home game). I'm a Cajun - I know what kind of dicks they can be - funny as hell in an extremely caustic way but watch out if you're not one of them.

 

It's that southern fried hate we get from our jnbred SEC neighbors. When you can't read and have sex with your relatives you have to stick together to survive. Disparaging higher functioning schools like UF is their way of bonding (in addition to mating with family members).

I can understand the need to motivate a team. But there is motivation and there is sheer arrogance. His comments cross the line.
