    Sounds like we got a nice future point guard from Australia who signed yesterday. Now we need a bunch more signings to fill out the roster for next year! I think we lose like six players to graduation.

    For the Miami game, pretty wild. We are starting 2 freshman. Miami is starting one senior and 4 grad-seniors.

    her highlights show a very agile big there. She can move for her size and very comfortable down low. All foreign players commited or signed so far

    HS recruiting this cycle is still out of whack, right? (After reeling in Liv and O'Neal, willing to cut some slack.)

    Definitely a down year after a great year. If we get some high level transfers it could still work out.

    They really need to win several of those this year. We cannot go backward 3 straight years and sell the program to recruits IMO.

    definitely the anchor player of the class of 2025. International or not, I don’t care. We can’t limit ourselves if we want to compete in the SEC. Yiech seems like the type of player who could compete with SEC bigs. Strong and solid able to score. Pretty good hands.

    You have to assume that we will be about to sell some open roster spots to players who enter the transfer portal from now-next season.

    Definitely can't limit but going exclusively is a red flag. Still time to fix it with the portal now though. We need to go big there.

    was working down at the ESPN offices in Charlotte today and I always ask whoever I can about UF stuff.
    So got to ask some people about the Gators women team which got a nice surprised look from some of the people there.
    the two people I talked to say we have top 20 talent when everyone is healthy, they really think McGill will be a top 5 PG when she gains experience and said she is definitely the reason Matharu left. Kelly Rae tried her best to keep her but she was not going to stunt McGills growth for her to stay. They said next year is our big year after the freshman gain some experience.
    Dont be fooled they dont speak about us on tv, that is not the narrative they are provided at work.
    Some interesting stuff about who they think we have on transfer speed dial, 1 highly skilled big is all they think we need next year. They think Gasset will be big time next year also, Louisville played her out of position. Trying to make her a wing. The big from Italy would be to 40 girl in the US, they like her that much. Think the girl from Canada is very underated, think she is top 50 or higher also.

    But this year they ultimately said we are short a few bodies for depth, Matharu hurt a lot for 2 guard/PG even though Saugus has scored well she is not a deamon on defense AM is..also think we are short a 4/5 big still. Oneal is a year away to be able to be very effective inside. Needs 15 lbs and a year of footwork on a college level. But they think she could be double double machine by her Jr year. I spent a good 40 minutes talking to them.

    Interesting note here is they thought Staley would go pro here in a few years, WNBA is booming and they need that high profile coach in the league also and salaries will be booming and they will be after Staley like crazy. All right that is all I can remember. It was a good day, got to talk about future Gator basketball for mens and football and just meandered about the office for about 3 hours while my crew was doing there work and I supervised
