Week 13 is here! I figured this should be a horrible week for matchups seeing as it's the week before rivalry week, and lots of teams schedule patsies before the last game of the season. It wasn't as bad as I thought though... I did have a little trouble finding a 10th game for the week, so I just went ahead and put our game in there just to stir things up a little bit! It's getting down to the wire, so make every week count! Please don't abuse me too much fellow pickers. I have to choose honesty over loyalty and sincerely hope I'm wrong. I have very little chance of winning this contest, but if I'm going to make a move I have to make bold choices. Ole Miss is #16 in total defense, Florida is #98. Ole Miss is #2 in total offense, Florida is #80. Ole Miss is #51 in rushing offense, Florida is #80. Ole Miss is #2 in rushing defense, Florida is #92. Ole Miss is #2 in passing offense, Florida is #64. Ole Miss is #82 in passing yards allowed, Florida is #92. I will be rooting hard for an upset, but I just don't see it happening this week. Sorry. What was UK ranked across the board? Or LSU for that matter. Ole Miss has lost to the two teams we beat. They also played: Furman Middle Tenn Wake Forest Georgia southern which really helped pad those stats. They've also only scored more than 28 pts once vs a SEC team this year and that was vs. Arky. They're not unbeatable just ask LSU or UK.
Lol of course not. I want the gators to win and I want points. Having done Realtys picks panel for the last 8 seasons and smootys last year I've learned i can't often get both both points and a gators win.. I pushed my luck last week not sure i will this week. Most certainly not for 5 points. I'm failing to see where whether I would pick UF as my 5 pointer and you saying you don't see how we can win this week because of the over inflated statistical rankings they have havebanything to do which each other. If we come to play we can definitely win. Ole Miss has already shown us that they can definitely come out flat when they shouldn't.
I'm going to pick the gators with my one pointer. I quit picking the gators to win big games is why I'm even in this thing at this point I'll never pick against them, but I'm not putting my five pointers in their basket.
Well I am hoping for a big win and everybody else burning out. Last weeks one makes me an also ran unless something major happens.
I made an edit in the OP. I will be up in Gainesville for the game on Saturday, so I won't be making my Saturday Morning Warning post. So don't forget to make your picks this week everyone! I'll also be going to the Basketball game on Friday night! Looking forward to some live Gator sports this weekend! And yes... I'll be cheering for the Gators despite picking Ole Miss as my 5-pointer! I'll gladly jump on that grenade and sacrifice 5 points for a Gator win this weekend!
